As time will grope...

by royowen

For God proved noble through this Man,
to bridge the gap, to close that span.
Then who am I, indeed resist,
withhold my guilt cause love persists.

As time will grope and mate with death,
the hope-filled count each weary breath.
There is no death when faith holds true,
for there's no sting when time comes due.

Yet love is not what I deserve,
though in His death is life's preserve.
There's nothing better than God's love,
That comes in Spirit's pure white dove.

There's no way anyone can earn God's grace, only one ever did and He paid for it by hanging on the cross, responding to His Father's directive, and secondly paying the ransom price, that was on all our heads. We can all do good, but nothing will save apart for the gift of grace from faith in the death and resurrection of Christ.

Ephesians 28-9 "For by grace are you saved through faith. It is a gift from God, and it's not of works lest anyone should boast."
