Self-love is courage

Your Temple

by Carlos' girl

My body is a temple
In which my God resides
I do not disrespect it
It's where His love abides

My breasts like art nonesuch
The Venus I resemble
admire but do not touch
for God, He does assemble

As lover and as friend
He keeps my body sound
my legs and back they bend
so I can get around

I bear an epic scar
it's from a surgeon's knife
through illness I did war
But God, He saved my life

My body tells a tale
of everywhere I've been
I always show it care
so I can rise again

In the morning bright
my body seeks the sun
that gives me warmth and light
so I can honor One
