Dirty Dog

by Debra White

I love my Springer Spaniel,
her name is Molly Moo.
She has a horrid habit though;
She has a 'thing' for poo.

Today's prize pile was cow manure -
Gigantic. Kinda moist.
A brown and steaming, stinking pat;
My dirty dog rejoiced!

Its pungent pong was tangible,
Moll' bounded in with glee,
then rolled and writhed and wriggled round
and paid no mind to me.

It mattered not to Molly Moo
how much I told her "NO!"
That tempting turd trumped my command,
now in the bath she'll go.

An 8-6 poem writing prompt entry
Writing Prompt
First you need to pick one word of one syllable. The first line, which is 8 syllables does not need to rhyme, but set the premise for the second line. The second line fulfills the premise and the last one syllable word must rhyme with others. You can write as many lines as you want. Example
Line 1 Why in the world did god decide? 8 syllables.
Line 2 That we all needed lips. 6 syllables.
All line 2s must rhyme.

It's all true... I really don't know what possesses her!
