"Biden Fiasco"

Chapter 1
Have You Forgotten?

By Brett Matthew West

Have you heard about this brouhaha? It sure has not shaped up to be a rose garden. Eighteen hundred Americans affected by the 9-11 terror attacks do not want Biden participating in any of their 20th Anniversary memorial events; not at the Pentagon, nor in New York, or in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, where United Airlines Flight 93 crashed into a field in Stonycreek Township. On the surface it appears one can hardly blame them. Now, let's examine some of the ins and outs of this confrontation.

Once again Biden has not fulfilled his end of an agreement; his vow to reclassify U.S. government evidence these people believe connects Saudi Arabian leaders to the 9-11 attacks. To them, Biden's lackadaisical failure is nothing more than another documented case of Biden claiming something then never following through. As far as they are concerned, Biden is well known for rhetoric to try to make himself sound good and a facade easily seen through.

Their statement obtained by NBC News read, "We cannot in good faith, and with veneration to those lost, sick, and injured, welcome the President to our hallowed grounds until he fulfills his commitment."

Although that is fair, and not asking too much, would strongly recommend they do not hold their breath on that to occur. Some might even wonder what Biden is waiting for? Why Biden has chosen to waste this golden opportunity to serve his fellow Americans?

The 9-11 Commission ended in 2004. Since that time investigative evidence has been uncovered that implicates Saudi Arabian government officials in the support of the 9-11 terror attacks. Those pieces of evidence include facts uncovered by the FBI.

One keyword of note is frustration. That remains the strongest emotion the 1800 relatives of the 9-11 victims possess over Biden's blatant disregard to follow through with his promise. In addition, they have filed a federal lawsuit accusing Saudi Arabia of complicity in the 9-11 attacks.

When it came to their willingness to share intelligence about the attacks, the 9-11 Commission Report determined Saudi Arabia to be what they termed a "problematic ally". Perhaps the question should be if the Saudis were not involved why would they create difficulties in pursuit of the truth behind them? The report also proved Saudi Arabia a major financier of Al Queda.

In a sworn affidavit, FBI Special Agent Stephen Moore, who led the Los Angeles Task Force for PENTTBOM, the FBI's investigation of the 9-11 attacks, shared his findings. Individuals can read this affidavit for themselves. Moore's comments were, "Based on evidence we gathered during the course of our investigation, I concluded that diplomatic and intelligence personnel of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia knowingly provided material support to the two 9-11 hijackers (who flew into the Twin Towers) and facilitated the 9-11 plot."

Is that not enough proof in the pudding for Biden? What more does he require to release the government findings?

In the interview their spokesperson gave, the group of 1800 further stated, "Twenty years later there is simply no reason to keep this information secret. But, if President Biden reneges on his commitment and sides with the Saudi government, (my money says he will) we would be compelled to publicly stand in objection to any participation by his administration in any memorial services of 9-11." (Just saying, correctly, they should.)

As a candidate for the presidency, here is what Biden stated, "I intend to be a President for all Americans."

Really, Biden? Oh golly! Gee! That would be one in a row and a vast improvement on what you have previously demonstrated during the course of your almost forty year political career. Seriously do not believe Biden means a solitary word of what he stated. However, there is an old saying that goes first time for everything. So, who knows. (Wink! Wink!)

Biden further stated, "The 9-11 Families are right to seek full truth and accountability."

Then what are you waiting for? A streetcar named Desire? Give these Americans what they are entitled to. What could be the harm in doing the right thing?

The 9-11 Families stated, "We had great hope that President Biden, who campaigned on bringing truth and trust back to the Oval Office, would value the lives and sacrifices of American citizens over diplomatic relations with a country associated with mass murder."

The question becomes how much value does Biden place on American lives?

As the 9-11 Families said, "Twenty years is way too long for anybody, especially thousands of American families, to learn the truth about what happened to their loved ones. The President of the United States should be standing next to us."

Put yourself in their place. What side of the fence would you be on? Highly doubtful Biden will join the 1800.

Have You Forgotten (lyrics by Darryl Worley and Wynn Varble)

Have you forgotten how it felt that day
To see your homeland under fire
And her people blown away
Have you forgotten when those towers fell
We had neighbors still inside
Going through a living hell

Have you forgotten? At least 1800 Americans directly involved with 9-11 sure have not.

Chapter 2
Have You Forgotten Follow-Up

By Brett Matthew West

This is a follow-up to my essay entitled Have You Forgotten. That essay detailed the simple request to Biden by 1800 American citizens who, having lost family members in the 9-11 attacks, wanted documents released they believe proved Saudi Arabia was behind those attacks.

White House Mouthpiece Jen Psaki, speaking because apparently Biden can not answer questions for himself, said, "President Biden "remains committed" to the pledge (he himself) made to families of 9-11 victims to approve the release of documents detailing Saudi Arabia's role in the attacks."

What Psaki did not say was more important than her bogus comment obviously meant to do nothing more than appease. Psaki failed to state if Biden would actually release the documents.

The Mouthpiece went on to state, "Well, our hearts are with the families who lost loved ones on 9-11, especially in these days preceding the 20th Anniversary of the attacks, coming up next month."

While the White House Office of Public Engagement, and the National Security Council, have held recent meetings with groups representing the 9-11 Families about their requests for the release of these documents, of course, Biden has avoided them.

As a Presidential Candidate, Biden committed to ask the Department of Justice to work on resolving the issue. He further promised those documents would be released to the 9-11 Families.

As President, Donald Trump imposed a State Secret privilege .

As President, Obama's guidance invoked the information requested by the 9-11 Families be narrowly tailored.

Now as President, according to Mouthpiece Psaki, Biden's decision appears to be the release of these documents not be undertaken to prevent embarrassment to an organization (the Saudis).

Therefore, one can only surmise Biden has elected to protect mass murderers (Saudi Arabia) over his fellow American citizens regardless of his campaign promise (lie).

The truth is would anyone honestly expect anything else from Biden?

Have 9-11 Families not suffered enough the last twenty years?

Have you forgotten?

(If there are any further updates on this brouhaha will post them.)

Chapter 3
Middle Class Taxes Are Coming!

By Brett Matthew West

In a previous essay I posted in the Politics forum, and received a lot of criticism for, I brazenly predicted Biden would soon be raising taxes on the middle class to help pay for his infrastructure legislation.

Guess what? Republicans, Democrats, and Independents across the board agree with that assessment. Moreover, so do American allies and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chair Sean Patrick Maloney. His comment follows below. I still, even more so, stand by my prediction.

Although Biden stated he would not raise taxes on the middle class to pay for his infrastructure legislation that is larger than the economy of England, simply stated most voters do not believe him. Suppose that is what happens when Biden's proven track record is to say one thing then repeatedly do the complete opposite as he has done over the almost 40 years he has been involved in national politics. I almost want to say to the voters who supported Biden, of which I definitely am not one, you will get exactly what you asked for. But, I won't. At least, not yet. That could be viewed as sour grapes.

A recent RMG Research poll indicated 61% of registered voters believe higher taxes on the middle class are coming much sooner than later. The concern is so much so that Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chair Sean Patrick Maloney confided in CNN, "If the election was held today we (the Democrats) would lose."

It looks like Biden has got his own party spooked..again. Right they should be. After all, the midterm elections are coming in 2022. Half the Democrats polled agreed they thought higher taxes on the middle class are headed their way. For Independents it was 44%, and for Republicans a whopping 83%. Even American allies are worried by Biden's legislation. Why? They all know there has to be much more to the story than Biden has let on so far. Isn't there always? Regardless of what Biden apparently believes voters are not stupid.

Biden's extravagantly high spending is already affecting the wallets of all American taxpayers, and will end up harming the middle class the most. If you stop and consider, one way these effects are being felt is through Bidenflation (the fact inflation has risen steadily higher and higher each month of Biden's presidency. The end of this does not appear to be anywhere in sight). Another are the soaring prices for most goods and services. Have you paid for gasoline for your car lately? A national debt that is skyrocketing out of control is a third, with the national debt ceiling needing to be raised to contain it. Said and done, the debt ceiling is expected to balloon to 200 times the GDP, and, Biden's spending spree has only just begun.

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee had several pollsters trial run messages in six swing states. Their concern about the 2022 midterm elections is that strong. They have even planned a country-wide bus tour featuring state and local leaders. Their worry? How to keep the support of the middle class once Biden raises their taxes.

The ball is definitely in Biden's court. How is he going to pull this one off? Everyone knows Biden never follows through on his promises. Ask 1800 Americans who lost family members in the 9-11 attacks about that one. Why should anyone in their right mind believe Biden will not raise taxes on the middle class? They're coming. That is inevitable.

Chapter 4
Mexican Standoff

By Brett Matthew West

In a major victory for immigration, and a detrimental loss for Biden, as well as his desire for an open border, District Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk, of the Northern District of Texas, ordered the Remain In Mexico policy be permanently reinstated. The Migrant Protection Protocols, as this policy is known by, require non-Mexican illegals to stay in Mexico. Has someone finally demonstrated some sense in this ongoing fiasco of Biden's making?

Judge Kacsmaryk stated "(Biden) failed to consider several critical factors when he ended the program."

This occurred back in June of 2021, when the Department of Homeland Security Secretary, Alejandro Mayorkas, was directed by Biden to end the MPP and did so.

Judge Kacsmaryk said this about Biden's poor judgement, "Mayorkas failed to heed warnings from DHS officials who alleged the program's repeal would lead to a surge in undocumented illegals into the U.S. and ignored the fiscal cost to states of repealing the policy."

Biden created the historically highest number of illegals crossing the border with his misguided actions.

Missouri's State Attorney General, Eric Schmitt, commented, "Today is a huge win for the Missouri Attorney General's Office and is a big step towards securing the border."

The Immigration Reform Law Institute remarked, "Biden's policy was arbitrary and capricious because they did not provide any justification for the change in policy nor consider relevant factors in making that change."

Judge Kacsmaryk called Biden's policy "a violation of federal law," and said, "Remain In Mexico must stay in effect. Biden must detain all illegals in accordance with U.S. immigration laws and until MPP is lawfully rescinded (not by a President issuing an invalid Executive Order)."

Even though Biden broke federal law by ordering Remain In Mexico be eliminated, his supporters probably do not have to worry. The chances of Biden being impeached for another law violation (there have been several others) are slim to none...unfortunately.

Then again, that would move Kamala Harris into the Presidency, which in this writer's humblest opinion, would be worse than who currently occupies the Oval Office.

Now there is what is rapidly being called Saigon Kabul. Although three other Presidents, two Republicans and one a Democrat, who must shoulder their fair share of the blame, the main responsibility falls on Biden and his poor judgement. The chaos in Afghanistan illustrates one more time Biden's lack of qualifications as President shining forth. However, that is a story that will be told another time.

All one needs do is look at Biden's daily gaffes. They speak for themselves. This screwup by Biden makes the U.S. look like a laughingstock in the eyes of the rest of the world. It also destroys everything America has accomplished in one of the most oppressive countries, particularly for women and girls, for the last twenty years.

Chapter 5
Saigon Kabul

By Brett Matthew West

(NOTE: Quotes taken from USA Today article. The commentary is mine. If you have read any of my essays posted in the Politics forum, you knew I would be all over these events. Please do enjoy!)

Remember this famous, never to be forgotten, picture? You know, the one of the helicopter hovering above an abandoned building in a place called Saigon? The date was April 29, 1975. How many terrified people begged to be flown to safety? (Or was it Kabul, Afghanistan on Sunday, August 15, 2021?) Can the two be separated? This photograph will definitely haunt Biden, and his foreign policy, as well as his notion of America Is Back. Not with Biden as President we aren't.

NY Congresswoman Elise Stefanik said this about the fall of Kabul. She is accurately on the money. "A disastrous failure on the international stage that will never be forgotten."

Brett Bruen, Barack Obama's ex-Director of Global Engagement, went even further when he stated, "It's an absolute unmitigated disaster for our counterterrorism efforts that sets (the U.S.) back over 20 years into a position where you will see in the coming months increasing threats and attacks by extremists groups emboldened by what has taken place in Afghanistan."

Congratulations, Biden! Way to set the U.S. back a generation or more.

On July 8, 2021, Biden had the audacity to claim, "There's going to be no circumstance where you see people being lifted off the roof of an embassy in the - of the United States from Afghanistan. It is not at all comparable."

The damn liar!

Texas Representative Michael McCaul, the Top Republican on the House Foreign Affairs Committee proclaimed, "Our foreign adversaries are emboldened, that being Russia, China, and Iran."

Here are some things America's presence in Afghanistan created/failed to create. Take your pick:

-funded schools that never materialized

-paid soldiers who did not exist

-many Afghans believe the U.S. presence in their country did not improve their quality of life

Biden is even failing at evacuating Kabul according to most experts on the subject including Jennifer Quigley, the Senior Director of Government Affairs for Human Rights First. She said, "If Biden hoped to avoid a reprise of the fall of Saigon, his administration's approach to evacuation is failing miserably."

Failing miserably. Two words that clearly define Biden as President.

Bruen further stated, "What's happening in Kabul is far worse than Saigon. This is Vietnam on steroids. Biden was fixated on the symbolism of pulling our people out. He lost sight of the fact that the Afghans weren't ready, and that our people weren't ready to pull up the stakes."

Bruen also referred to Biden, and his national security croonies, as "too insular," "too arrogant," and not adapting to the realities of what is occurring on the ground. Appears Bruen was spot on.

Biden was asked in July of 2021 if a Taliban takeover was inevitable. Defensive, Biden replied with a strong no. Asked if his own intelligence sources had not made that same assessment, Biden remarked that it was not true. Oh really?

Kabul's collapse will remain a permanent stain on Biden's presidency throughout the rest of human history. Perhaps his administration's defining moment. Certainly, it is one he will find impossible to eradicate.

While four Presidents must shoulder their share of blame for the Afghan debacle, Biden is the most culpable. His screwup has once again made the U.S. a laughingstock in the eyes of the world. All I can say is because he does not know his rectum from a hole in the ground, as President may God have mercy on our country!

Chapter 6
The Price Of Being Wrong

By Brett Matthew West

I was reading some things this morning and came across this quote.

"It is hard to imagine a more stupid or dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong." - Thomas Sowell, Economist, Social Theorist, Stanford University.

I can not say I disagree.

The unfortunate truth is the U.S. is now a politically sharply divided country with an uncertain future. Doesn't that bother you?

Biden's Presidential campaign was supposed to be based on "competency, decency, and moderation." Or so he claimed. However, since Biden took office polls continue to indicate voters across the spectrum, be they Democrats, Republicans, or Independents alike, are waking up to the scam Biden ran on. Is it too late for America?

A tidal wave of homicides in Democratically-run cities is one area Biden is to be blamed for, among many others. Bidenflation is a second. This is a 13-year high in inflation that has increased every month Biden has been in office. A third would be the historically worst immigration crisis our borders have ever experienced. This is a disproportionate mess of Biden's own making.

Add to them a 54% disapproval rating. After the fall of Kabul, Afghanistan, and Biden's extremely poor handling of that affair, as well as the fallout that has occurred since, and Biden's disapproval rating is sure to rise even higher. Can anyone blame voters for feeling the way they do?

Under Biden's short watch, criminals have been permitted to loot and burn major cities around the country. Police are regularly attacked. Urban areas, mostly in Democratically-governed localities, are held by citizens as "liberated zones."

Community centers, shops, stores, and police stations have all been burned out in these places. Few arrests have been made, and no-cash-bail policies place felons back on streets to become repeat offenders. Police have been emasculated, reimagined, and defunded. Do these actions not bother you?

There has been a 33% increase in murders in major towns since Biden has been in office and a 25% increase in the national murder rate. In fact, statistics prove killing has become the largest singular cause of deaths among Blacks. Most of them perpetrated by African-American youth. Whatever happened to Black Lives Matter? Or does that only apply when the murder happens between races?

Though not a supporter of Barack Obama can see the sense of his statement, "If people cannot trust the government to do the job for which it exists - to protect them - all is lost."

Biden's immigration policies, perhaps better known as "catch, coddle, and bus," have resulted in real time crises in safety, economics, health, and humanitarian efforts. Biden has also ended border security policies and provides free housing, safety, education, healthcare, and food to illegals who cross our borders he so desperately wants to make wide open.

At the same time, needy American citizens continue to suffer not receiving any of these handouts. Is there any wonder so many more illegals than ever before keep coming? Try to the tune of about 217,000 in July of 2021, and approximately 25% of them were Covid positive. They are processed, fed, and bussed. Then, they receive a slip that informs them to self-report for deportation. Only a fool would believe they do. Are you really that gullible? Afterwards, these illegals are flown on aircraft, or transported by bus, to America's heartland.

Another fallout of Bidenflation is a 5.4% price increase for most goods and services. The largest in the last 13 years. When you add in energy and food, the inflation rate is at the highest clip it has seen in 30 years. What did Biden inherit? Low inflation and a high real wage growth economy he rapidly destroyed. Those who receive Social Security, government benefits, live on fixed incomes, and are savers, suffer the most from Bidenflation.

Can you honestly say you believe illegal immigration, the huge increase in inflation, and these other troubled areas directly affect Biden? Guess again. His big donors, and BigTech, do not feel these gnawing effects directly either.

I suppose the answer to who pays the price when the wrong person is elected, sad to say, is every American citizen.

Chapter 7
Saigon Kabul Follow-up

By Brett Matthew West

While Trump, Obama, and Bush must shoulder their fair share of the Saigon Kabul Affair, as many insiders are currently referring to the chaos of the fall of Afghanistan to the Taliban, it is Joseph Robinette Biden, Junior who bears most of the brunt of the responsibility. This singular event may well be remembered throughout the annals of the remainder of recorded history as the defining moment of his presidency. Congratulations, Biden! You are now infamous. Let the limelight shine brightly.

Pentagon Spokesman John Kirby stated, "There is a process to follow." He referred to how the U.S. should have left Afghanistan as well as to the evacuation of Afghanis who aided the U.S. during the course of this twenty year conflict.

For his part, in a more than feeble attempt to reflect the blame for what occurred in Kabul, kind of like a naughty little boy who got caught with his hand in the cookie jar after being told he could not have one, Biden blamed various Afghan leaders, the Afghan National Security Forces, and Donald Trump's May 1, 2020 deal with the Taliban to leave Afghanistan. Somehow, Biden most conveniently said next to nothing about his own administration's blunderous role in the withdrawal.

The need for Special Immigrant Visas for those Afghanis who aided the U.S. military effort in Afghanistan had been a hot button item with many lawmakers for an extended period of time. To no avail because the Biden Administration kept dragging their feet to accomplish this urgent task.

Virginia Democratic Senator Mark Warner, the Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said, "Intelligence officials have anticipated for years that in the absence of the U.S. military, the Taliban would continue to make gains in Afghanistan. That is exactly what has happened."

Do not know, but perhaps Biden should check into a good hearing aid, be they low-cost, rechargeable, or otherwise. Perhaps then he might hear what informed sources tell him. Would he listen? Believe you know the answer to that question as well as the rest of civilized society does.

New Jersey Democratic Senator Bob Menendez, the Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, stated, "I am disappointed that the Biden Administration clearly did not accurately access the implications of a rapid U.S. withdrawal."

Doesn't it just make you wonder if someone handed Biden a Bobbie, or cheesesteak, sandwich from Wilmington, Delaware, his favorites, if he could accurately access the food item's contents.

So, how can Biden possibly claim the blame for his failure to accurately access the situation as it stood in Afghanistan does not fall squarely upon him? The bulk of what transpired was not because of Trump's deal with theTaliban, or the Afghanis. This absolute unforced error is on BIDEN'S part and so avoidable. There is no excuse Biden can offer for not knowing better.

For instance, let's examine Biden's strong push to withdraw American troops from Iraq in 2011 as another one of Biden's unheeded forays. Biden has also repeatedly voiced loud opposition to American interventions in foreign, oppressed, countries that asked for assistance from the United States. These happened while, and after, Biden served on the Foreign Relations Committee for many years.

The 2011 Iraq withdrawal resulted in another conditions-ignoring, timeline-based, action that went against the advice of Biden's desire from his higher ups. The results of this Biden-supported debacle? The Islamic State overran the Iraqi army, ISIS, and the U.S. military had to return to Baghdad. Sound eerily familiar to Kabul?

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin advised Biden in March of 2021 of a worst-case scenario for the Afghanistan withdrawal. What did Biden do? The exact same thing that occurred in Iraq. What lesson did Biden learn from that event? Obviously nothing. Biden also honored a deal with the Taliban that should have been voided because they maintained ties with Al Queda.

According to sources close to Biden he was going to withdraw from Afghanistan regardless of what he was advised by the intelligence community and the Pentagon to do, or how to properly perform the stunt. The disastrous results since then have been the most devastating days yet for Biden while he has been in office. Additionally, Biden's approval rating by Americans has fallen 12 points to 46%, which represents the lowest that number has been since Day One of Biden's presidency. And, the worst may be still to come.

No need for Biden supporters to get their truffles in a bunch. Biden himself said, "The buck stops with me."

He is so right. The bulk of the responsibility for the Saigon Kabul Affair does indeed stop with Biden.

Chapter 8
Biden's Blood-Soaked Hands

By Brett Matthew West

When the last cargo plane flew over the Hindu Kush Mountains, at approximately 3:29pm, on Monday, August 30, 2021, America's longest war concluded after a chaotic bloodletting evacuation. The end result left an estimated 200 American citizens still in Afghanistan to survive the best way they can.

Where did Biden remain throughout this scenario? The U.S. Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces hid out of sight leaving Americans to find out about the finality of the conflict through the Secretary of the State, Antony Blinken, and Marine Corps General Kenneth McKenzie, the Commander of the Central Command. By the way, the senior ranking military commander in Afghanistan, Major General Austin Scott Miller, symbolically stepped down from his position thereafter.

Biden's main comment, "Now our 20-year military presence in Afghanistan has ended."

Because of the disasterous manner in which the war ended, the armed conflict may have ceased in regards to military action, but for Biden the real problems surrounding Afghanistan have just commenced.

For instance, the approximately 200 Americans who remain in the country. Is the blood of the 13 servicemembers slaughtered at the Kabul Hamid Karzai International Airport not enough for Biden's hands? Suppose he should tell their families that. Only time will dictate how much more of the crimson fluid will join the stains already there.

The resettlement of tens of thousands of Afghan refugees remains another issue to be resolved. Congressional scrutiny over how, despite many warnings, Biden was caught so unprepared for how rapidly the Afghan government collapsed is another.

Biden absolutely refused to heed bipartisan and international advice to extend his August 31, 2021 deadline for ending the evacuation effort. Why? Could it be because for at least the last ten years, Biden believed the war in Afghanistan was futile? Biden also maintained the Taliban destroying the Afghan military was vindication. Further, Biden's turning the page, so to speak, on Afghanistan was a crucial foreign policy objective for him.

The Associate Professor of Government at Dartmouth College, Jeffrey Friedman, perhaps summed up best what many experts on the subject believe when he stated, "For someone who made his name as an empathetic leader, he (Biden) appeared quite cold-hearted in his pursuit of this goal to end this war."

Britian, Germany, and France all fumed at Biden holding tight to his August 31, 2021 withdrawal deadline. Armine Laschet, the leading candidate to become Germany's next Chancellor, referred to the withdrawal as, "The biggest debacle NATO has suffered since its founding." Congratulations, Biden. Once again you have made history.

Several Democrats have called for investigations into what went wrong in the last portion of the Afghanistan occupation and withdrawal. There is also concern about Afghanistan once again becoming a terrorist haven and breeding ground. Should that occur, Americans will have Biden alone to blame.

Biden famously has tried to shift the responsibility for what took place during the Afghanistan withdrawal on the Afghan government's failure to compromise with the Taliban. Among other excuses.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy stated, "Every crisis he (Biden) has faced so far in this administration he has failed." McCarthy also explained correctly, "There was a moment in time that had this President listened to his military, there would still be terrorist prisoners inside Bagram, we would be getting every single American out (of Afghanistan), and the military would not have left before the Americans."

A recent ABC News/Ipsos poll strongly indicated 60% of Americans vehemently disapproved of how Biden handled the Afghanistan situation and that the U.S. should have stayed in Afghanistan until all Americans were evacuated.

Biden opposed U.S. nation-building efforts, harbored deep doubts about the Afghan government's ability to sustain itself, and the deployment of the U.S. military to Afghanistan when he was the Vice President in 2009. That placed him at odds with the Obama Administration. Biden viewed his position as "the proudest moment of his public life."

Biden's speaking in absolute certainties did not aid his cause in Afghanistan. A case in point was Biden insisted Americans would not see anything reminding them of the evacuation of Saigon at the end of the Viet Nam War. In retrospect and reality, the withdrawal from Afghanisran was often referred to as the Saigon Kabul Affair. Recall the scene of the Afghan soccer player who fell to his death from the wheel of a plane trying to flee the country?

Getting all Americans out of harm's way in Afghanistan was Biden's stated objective. Once again, he failed. Instead, Secretary of State Antony Blinken confirmed the presence of a couple hundred Americans who were left behind after the U.S. military's final departure. Does Biden truly believe the Taliban will allow those Americans to leave the country peacefully? Would be very uncharacteristic for the terrorists to do such a thing,

The blood of each one of them that does not make it safely out of Afghanistan rests in one place...the already bloody mitts of Joseph Robinette Biden, Junior.

As Biden himself said, "The buck stops here with me."

Chapter 9
Twenty-One Percent

By Brett Matthew West

With one poll indicating numbers have slipped to a miniscule 21%, there appears to be five main reasons for Biden's current poor popularity. These low numbers are an area of grave concern for Democrats because of the upcoming 2022 mid-term elections.

They had suffered large losses in the previous two mid-term elections of Democratic Presidents, and believe if Biden's disapproval rating is less than 50% at the end of the year they will probably endure serious seat losses in the 2022 mid-term election.

The emergence of the Delta variant, and resistence of the unvaccinated to get shots, have led to Biden's popularity slide because of a vast increase in hospitalizations and the number of Covid cases soaring again. So have the alleged need for booster shots and the requirement in May for vaccinated people to wear masks inside again. Many people feel Biden is not doing an adequate job handling the pandemic.

The manner in which Biden has failed to control the problems of immigration is anothet reason Biden's popularity is so low. The migrant surge, with numbers exceeding 210,000 illegals crossing the border in July 2021, many with the Coronavirus, places Biden's popularity in the 30% range according to some polls. Homeland Security Secretary Alejando Mayorkas has termed the illegal immigrant problem "unsustainable," and immigration authorities are overwhelmed by the high number of illegals entering the country.

Out of hand major crimes in America's largest cities, particularly with a spike in homicides, could become a campaign deficit for Democrats in the 2022 mid-term elections. The Defund the Police movement has come back to haunt Biden and the Democrats. The seige has lowered the morale of numerous law enforcement officers who are forecasted to vote against Biden in that election. Many young Democrats question whether Biden speaks for the party, or is it possible New York Left Wing Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has the louder voice? In addition, 48% of those polled stated Biden has consistently proven weak on crime and gun control.

With the term Bidenflation (the fact inflation has risen higher each month Biden has been in office) now in vogue, inflation, and inconsistent job numbers, have dogged Biden from Day One of his Presidency. Many of those polled wonder how much those numbers will rise with Biden attempting to pour trillions into the economy? According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics a pultry 235,000 new jobs were added in August 2021, which was well below the expected numbers. Also, inflation is at a 13 year high. Some expert economists wonder if the economy has become overheated and Biden's extensive spending desires need to be curtailed to bring the economy down where it should be.

The Afghanistan withdrawal fiasco, and the extremely piss poor way it was conducted, demonstrated Biden's image to be an incompetent leader of the country. More correctly stated, they illustrated what many voters already suspected, that is Biden is not capable of being the President the United States needs. Biden also has received the public perception he alone is responsible for the terrorist attack at the airport in Kabul that slaughtered 13 U.S. servicemembers unnecessarily. Perhaps that became the reason Biden holed up at Camp David so long after the Afghanistan withdrawal concluded?
