"Redemption"

Prologue
Justice to be served

By SLMorrical

I had my chance for justice, but it is a little too late. He is gone and no one can bring him back. I want them to be accountable for what they did to him, but the legal system would just be on their side, and not give the proper punishment they deserve. They drove him to this; it was them that killed him not the heart attack. It was their constant badgering and bullying that killed him.

He was strong and even the strongest man can only take so much. He didn't lash out at them because of me. He wanted to ensure I didn't get any backlash or problems from it. I always told him everything will be good with faith and patience, but it wasn't so in this case.

My husband deserves retribution, and I will find a way for him to get it. I am polite to them with their condolences, and all I want to do is yell, "You killed him, all of you." I just say thank you when they say how sorry they are for my loss. Yeah, you're sorry alright, but just wait and see how sorry you're going to be. How can I be that confident they will be sorry? My husband made sure they would pay for what they did to him.

Not many people know my husband Lance and I are Wicca and we never used any spells on anyone. We always believed whatever you send out will come back to you three times more. Well, Lance apparently knew he would have to give karma some help because the stress at that job would probably kill him.

The day after he died, I was so grief-stricken I had to go into his office, so I could get a sense of him. I was looking through his stuff and found his journals. I never knew he'd written any journals. Reading his written words gave me an emotional familiarity with him, and then I came across something that surprised me.

Lance had written a spell for bringing a soul back for vengeance. Now there will be redemption, but I will have to wait. I have to let some time pass; I can't be implicated in whatever happens to them. I can't even express my hatred or believe they killed him. I have to be quiet and not say a word. This will be the hardest thing for me to do because they killed Lance.

I wanted to take judicial action on them and give them what they deserved. He wouldn't allow it. He always protected me and kept me safe, and he said if I took the action I wanted to take it would hurt us. I did nothing, and it hurt him. I lost the best friend and lover I ever had. I lost a piece of me. He always told me he would get his deliverance by maiming or killing them as they watch him do it. Now they will get his kind of judgment from the grave.

Chapter 1
They were instantly connected

Author Note:Adults only reading

Lance and Susie met 20 years ago in an online chat. She was much older than him but it didn't matter. She went to see him in Tennessee where he lived. She lived in Florida. They were both so nervous at their first meeting. She climbed the steps to Lance's apartment and knocked. "Hang on I'm coming," Lance yelled at the person who knocked on the door. When he opened the door, they both smiled at each other, and it was an immediate attraction.

"Hi, Lance, it's so great to finally meet you face to face," Susie said shyly. Now Susie is anything but shy, but for some reason, she was now. Susie was wearing a white skirt and tank top with a denim vest. The tank top just barely covered her breast and the vest drew more attention to them.

"Wow, you are more gorgeous than I imagined." Lance had lust in his eyes. "Please come in. I had just gotten off work, and I need to take a shower, and we can go to dinner or something."

Susie also had thoughts of lust. "Okay, I will wait here for you." She heard the shower and made her way to the bathroom and opened the door, and removed her vest, and proceeded to the closed shower curtain. "Would you like me to scrub your back?" Susie had more in mind than scrubbing his back.

"Sure, that would be great," Lance answered promptly and handed Susie the washcloth with soap. She started to scrub his back and Lance turned around grabbed her and planted the most passionate lustful kiss she had ever had. He proceeded to pull her into the shower clothes and all. Susie didn't resist and could feel herself get excited as the hot water drenched her clothes and made them stick to her body. She took the soap and used her hands to soap him everywhere, and as she did this his excitement grew, along with hers.

Lance grabbed the soap and started to lather up her stomach, and over her tube top teasing her with every movement. He then kissed her tenderly, and she returned the kiss with passion. As they kissed he slowly moved his hands down to her skirt that is wet and soapy. Lance slides it off along with her panties. Susie moans with desire as he moves his hands over her wet mound and pokes a finger in her wet wanting opening. Lance then whispers in her ear, "Let us take this play to the bedroom."

On the way to the bedroom he removes her damp and lathered tub top, so she is bare. He leads her to the bed and sits her on the edge, then moves his hands to her shoulders and holds her tenderly as he lays her across the bed. Susie is moaning with desire and anticipation.

Lance moves down her body kissing her breast, stomach and finally her crotch. He moved his way down to her clitoris and lightly licked. She couldn't believe the feeling she had at that moment. Lance continued to lick and suck on her, as she wiggled and squirmed with excitement. He didn't stop until Susie hit the final explosion from her wet mound. He then moved her further on the bed and entered her with his hard hot member moving slower than faster and slower, alternating the rhythm until he hit his final explosion.

They lay together for a while basking in the glow. Susie looks into his eyes and states "I don't want this to be a one night stand or just a weekend thing."

Lance looks at her with love and desire, "It isn't just a thing it's the real thing. I have been waiting for someone like you for a long time." They take another shower, but not together, get dress and went out for dinner. She is there for the weekend and goes back to Florida on Sunday. After dinner, they go back to his apartment and fall asleep in each other's arms. Susie can't believe she has found her knight and doesn't want to go back home, but she has to.

It has been a wonderful day and night. Susie wonders if this is just a dream. She calls her best friend to talk while Lance is out of the apartment at work, he wanted to get the time off but couldn't. "Hey Susie, how's it going?" Teresa is curious to find out about this mystery online guy.

"Oh my god Teresa I am just beside myself, and I don't want to come back home."

"Well, Susie you have to. You have your kids, your parents and your job that needs you. I need you here too."

"Seriously T, you are just bored at work and need your girl to make it enjoyable."

"You got that right. Hey is he everything you thought he would be and does he look like his pictures?"

"He is more than I expected and he is even sexier in person. T, I can't believe I have fallen so hard, and after I had sworn off men. Talk about being swept off your feet. I am still flying from last night."

"Susie, did you have sex with him on the first night? I thought you weren't going to do that. What happened to, I am a brick wall?"

"T, I couldn't help myself and I don't want to kiss and tell, but wow, and no one can compare. He was so passionate and wanted to make sure I was pleased before him

"Damn girl keep that boy."

"I plan on it even if it is a long distance thing and I have to save to travel to see him. Okay, T, I am going to go, I promised to take him lunch to his job, so he knows what is here this weekend for him. Love ya girl,"

"Love ya too, bye."

Susie hangs up and is missing home, but still wants to stay. Well, at least she has the weekend. She dresses in a cute and sexy sundress and takes Lance his lunch. He comes out to the car and gets in, plants a long passionate kiss on her. "Thanks, babe, you are the best thing that has come my way in a long time." Susie smiles and he leaves to go back into the plant he works at.

Susie drives back to his apartment and opens the door. His cat greets her like she has been there a while. "Hey sweetie, I like you too." She pets the cat. She sits down on the couch and Merlin the cat climbs on her lap, starts to purr and falls asleep. Susie just can't believe this is not a dream.

There are only two days left before she has to leave, but she doesn't want to think about that. She dozes off a bit, then gets up takes a shower and gets dressed for dinner, waiting for Lance to get home from work, so they can go to dinner. They go out for dinner and enjoy each other's company so much; they talk about making this a permanent relationship. Long distance relationships are hard, but they want to make it work.

The next morning Lance takes Susie to meet his parents. They instantly fall in love with her and her with them. This is so meant to be and everything just proves it to be so. This is their last night together and they express their love for each other in more ways than one.

"Susie I'm going to miss you so much, that my heart, body, and soul will ache for you until we are together again."

"Lance I feel the same way, but we will be together soon. This love is meant to be, and all the signs say that." Susie starts crying. "I'm missing you already. I will call you every day; send you an email every day."

"I will do the same. Susie, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me and I want to be with you always." Lance grabs Susie and kisses her with such a kiss she will remember it for days. "Bye my baby girl."

The weekend is over and she is home, with a wonderful feeling. She encountered his parents that weekend, and she just fell in love with them, and they fell in love with her. Leaving was hard. They continue to talk on the phone and on the computer. Susie and Lance miss each other very much. Lance plans to come and see her, but it won't be for another month. Susie for now just works takes care of her kids and parents waiting for her knight.

The Bond Grows Stronger

A month has passed and Lance is on his way down to find a place to move to and meet Susie's parents. Her mom is not very keen on the idea that Lance is 12 years younger than Susie, especially when she has a son only nine years younger than Lance. "Susie what are you doing? This man is too young for you, and he is part Greek and Cherokee." Janet tells her in an angry voice.

"Mom, I didn't know how old he was when I first started talking to him online. We have so much in common and he is so much different than my first and second husband."

"What about your kids and what if he wants kids?"

"He doesn't want kids or to get married again and neither do I."

"You know Susie, Greek men are very controlling."

"Mom, you are just trying to find things wrong with him and before you even meet him."

The doorbell rings and Susie goes to the door and it's Lance and she gives him a big hug and a kiss. Lance has flowers in his hand and follows Susie into the living room where her parents are. "Mom, Dad this is Lance."

"It's nice to finally meet the both of you." He hands Susie's mom the flowers and walks over to Susie's dad and shakes his hand.

"Thank you for the flowers, Lance." Janet's tone is not very cordial.

"So Lance, what are you planning on doing at this time? Are you staying in Tennessee and have a long distance relationship with my daughter?" Ben's voices his concern.

"No sir, I am moving down here, I have a job lined up and I have a place to stay when I first get here."

"Where is that?"

"The same place I am staying while I am visiting, with a friend in Cocoa."

"I know the friend he is staying with, Dad, its okay. Come on Lance, let's go to dinner. See you guys later."

Lance moves to Florida and they continue dating for many years. Lance steps up to be a friend to Susie's kids, but they want nothing to do with him. Susie knows this but continues the relationship, because her children are teenagers. They will soon be off to college or on their own. Their relationship grows, and after being together six years they move in together.

They live together for seven years and are happy until Susie finds out Florida doesn't have common law. She brings up the idea, to Lance, of getting married. They already live together like a husband and wife but without the marriage certificate. "Lance we need to get married. I have you as beneficiary on everything, and I know you will take care of my wishes if something happens to me." Susie says with conviction in her voice.

"I thought you and I weren't getting married," Lance questions the issue.

"I have seen so much with my job, with families, couples not married, and I don't want those things to happen to us. If we are not married you have no say so on anything when it comes to my health or death." Susie sounds very concern about it. "The kids can fight you on getting my life insurance, 401k and anything else. They will be the ones making the decisions on what occurs after I die. I don't want that."

"Okay, we will get married, even if it's just to give you peace of mind." Lance gave her a hug and kiss to assure her.

After 13 years together they get married at the courthouse. They didn't need a wedding, just the piece of paper to protect Lance from Susie's family. "Now I know what I want will be done because you will make sure it gets done that way. I love you."

"I love you too." Lance takes Susie's hand they walk out of the courthouse and drive to the home they live in together, but now as husband and wife.

It's been twenty years since they first meet online and they are still together and are happy with each other. They are planning to grow old together, and then Lance dies of a heart attack at the age of 45 and Susie knows it is his job that killed him. Lance was under so much stress at his job, and he was trying so hard to give Susie a good life with love and security.

Chapter 3
Lance's death and Susie's grief

By SLMorrical

It was a Tuesday just like every other Tuesday. Lance kissed Susie goodbye and told the dogs' goodbye and went off to work. Susie had a very bad feeling that morning when she gets up out of bed. Little did she know that bad feeling was on the money. She texted Lance before her first cup of coffee with her usual encouragement text of how she believes in him has faith in him, and loves him. Lanced texted back his usual, "I love you too." Seeing this she knew he was alright, but something just kept nagging at her as something was wrong with him.

She goes through her day normally getting her stuff ready to go to work that night, then at noon, her phone rings and its Lance. She answers "Hey baby, what's up?"

"Susie it's not Lance, its Tony. I am using his cellphone to call you."

Susie thought why was he using Lance's cellphone to call her? Then, at that very moment, that very bad feeling she had hit really hard. "Tony, why are you calling me on Lance's cellphone?"

"Lance is being taken to the hospital by ambulance; they think he is having a heart attack."

Susie was in shock. "What hospital are they taking him to?"

"Holly Regional, are you going to be okay Susie?" Tony said in fake concern.

"Yeah, thanks goodbye." Susie rushes to get her shoes on and the dogs put up so she can go to the hospital and see Lance. She appears calm, but underneath she is very scared. She calls her friends, Donna, and Victoria, after she calls her job to let them know she will not be working tonight. Donna and Victoria agree to meet her at the hospital to give her moral support. They know how important Lance is to her. They know she will need them now, and since they have been friends for many years that they are like sisters, they go to watch over her.

When Susie arrives at the hospital her friends are there and give her big hugs. "Susie we came as soon as we could," Donna said as she was hugging Susie.

"Yeah, Susie we are here for you." Victoria chimes in.

Susie goes over to the desk and speaks with the Emergency Nurse there. "They brought my husband in by ambulance I want to know where he is and if he is okay?"

"Name please." The nurse says so coldly.

"Lance Morrell. My husband is Lance Morrell. Can I see him please?" Susie is weepy.
The nurse looks for his name and changes her attitude. She looks at Susie. "Mrs. Morrell, please come with me the doctor will want to talk to you."

She looks back at her friends in horror. "Can my friends come with me, please?" The nurse nods yes and the three of them follow the nurse back to a waiting room. "Please let him be okay, I don't think I can go on without him? He is my rock and I know I am his."

Donna and Victoria grab Susie's hand. Victoria being strong in faith tells Susie with assurance, "He is going to be fine, I prayed to god on the way over here. You don't deserve this to happen now."

Donna looks at Victoria as to say really you are playing the god card. She looks at Susie and tells her with concern. "We are here for you no matter what happens. You can lean on us."

The doctor walks into the waiting room looking around calling out "Mrs. Morrell?"
Susie gets up and walks towards the doctor "I am Mrs. Morrell. How is my husband doctor, and can I see him?"

The doctor looks Susie straight in the eyes trying to look comforting. "I am sorry Mrs. Morrell; your husband was DOA from the ambulance."

Susie stares at the doctor and screams at him "NO, NO." Donna and Victoria come over to hold on to her just as she goes limp and passes out. The shock was too much for her.

Susie's friends Donna and Victoria with the doctor help over to a stretcher and she is rolled into an exam room and is watched very closely. An hour later she sits straight up and looks at her friends, who never left her side, while in tears she asks "Was I dreaming or did Lance just die?"

Donna and Victoria hold her and both tell her "No Susie you were not dreaming and yes Lance just died of a heart attack."

Then something really strange happens to Susie. She stops crying, her facial expression turns to rage, and her voice comes across as violent, "Lance didn't die of natural causes. His death was because of that job of his. Those guys he worked with, they killed him. They will not get away with this."

"Susie, what are you talking about?" Donna knows that face and that tone.

"Lance died of a heart attack, he was not murdered." Victoria tries to get Susie back to reality.

"No they killed him and my first stop is the police station." Susie hugs the girls, sign the necessary paperwork and heads out of the hospital. Donna and Victoria are worried Susie just went off the deep end.

Chapter 4
She accuses the salesmen of murder

By SLMorrical

Warning: The author has noted that this contains the highest level of language.

Susie was sure it was the salesmen at the job that killed him. They were on him so much the stress gave him the heart attack. Susie heads to the police station to file a charge of murder on the salesmen of Motorcycle City. She is ready to accuse them all, and she will start with the manager Tony Otto. He is not alone in this and she is prepared to name them all. There's Tony Sand, Tommy Emerson, Matt Miller, and Joel Aspen.

They all messed with him, took customers from him, which means they took sales. They would razz him about his religion, and about his honesty to customers. He didn't lie to the customers, and the other salesmen keep telling he doesn't have the balls to sell.

Susie arrives at the police station, heads for the main desk and states she wants to report a murder. A Police Detective walks over to Susie, "I am Detective Robert Case. I understand you want to report a murder."

"Yes, my husband was murdered today, by the guys he worked with." She had tears in her eyes as she spoke.

"Tell me what happened, Mrs."

"Morrell, Mrs. Morrell. My name is Susie Morrell."

"Okay Mrs. Morrell, what happened to your husband?"

"He died today. The doctor says it was a heart attack, but I know those guys he works with killed him."

Detective Case hesitated before his next words, choosing them carefully trying not to make her more distraught, "Mrs. Morrell, a heart attack is a natural cause, not murder."

"Detective Case is it?"

"Yes, it is."

"They caused the heart attack, so they killed him."

"Mrs. Morrell, unless they actually gave him something to induce a heart attack, he died from natural causes, not murder."

"They gave him stress on his job; doesn't that count as giving him something to cause it?"

"I am sorry Mrs. Morrell but you can't commit murder by giving someone stressors. Go home, talk to a grief counselor or some of your friends. I know you are very upset right now, and I am sorry for your loss, but it isn't murder."

"If you won't give my husband the justice he deserves then I will." Susie threatened.

Detective Case realizes this shattered widow may take matters into her own hands, for a crime that has not been committed.

Susie leaves the police station in a huff and heads to Motorcycle City to pick up Lance's things. Tony Otto greets her at the door of the Motorcycle City's salesroom. "Hey Susie, we are all so sorry for your loss, and Lance will be missed." His fake concern is very evident in his voice.

Susie looks at him as he tries to hug her she pulls away. "I am just here for Lance's things."
"Of course they are all right here." He shows her to Lance's desk.

"Where is his laptop? I know he had one because I pay the monthly payment on the credit card he used to buy it." Susie is angry and knows these men are nothing but killers and thieves.

"Here it is Susie. I was using it to get some of the internet stuff off of it." Matt Miller speaks up and walks toward her with Lance's laptop.

"Thank you and before I leave I am taking inventory on his stuff because I know what he brings with him to work because I pay for them." She goes over everything and it is all there, even his cellphone that Tony used to call her. She looks around at the salesmen with daggers in her eyes, "I have everything and now I am leaving."

"Susie please let us know when and where the funeral is, we would all like to go and pay our respects." Tommy Emerson says to her as he opens the door for her, she nods knowing they are all guilty of murdering Lance.

Susie goes home and hugs the dogs while crying. Susie calls Lance's family to tell them of his death. His mother cries on the phone, and his brothers and sister-in-law are speechless. She tells them she will give them all the details of when and where his funeral is. She hangs up and turns to the dogs. The two of them are looking for Lance and whining. Animals always know when something is wrong. The little one keeps staring at the door.

She talks to them both like they can understand her. "Girls your daddy isn't coming home. Those bastards he works with have killed him. Don't worry I will get justice for your daddy." She lies down, and the dogs curl up next to her. She doesn't sleep at all that night. Her mind is busy trying to prepare her for what is next.

Lance knew his job was killing him

Warning: The author has noted that this contains the highest level of language.

"Susie, I love you, I'm sorry you are feeling so sad. I didn't want you to ever feel sad, and I tried so hard to give you a good life. I miss you, baby," Lance whispers in her ear as he is holding her.

"I love you too baby." Susie looks into his eyes and sees a small tear. She leans in to kiss him because she misses his sweet kiss. Just as she feels her lips on his, she opens her eyes, only to realize it was just a dream. She sits on her bed trying to make sense of everything. The phone rings, and she answers it hoping she is just dreaming now and the dream she was having is the reality. "Hello!"

"Mrs. Morrell?" This is Benjamin Davis with the funeral home and I would like you to come down to make arrangements for your husband's funeral. My staff and I understand this is a hard time, and we are very sorry for your loss. Is 2 P.M. okay for you?"

"Yes, that is fine Mr. Davis." She hangs up the phone and calls Donna. "Hey Donna, will you go with me to the funeral home? I have a 2 P.M. appointment to make Lance's funeral arrangements."

"Sure I will go with you. I am here for you always." Donna wants her friend to have some strength in this hard time.

"Thanks, I will meet you there. It's Davis Funeral Home. Bye." Susie then calls Lance's family to find out a good time and day for them, so they can travel here and attend his funeral. She hangs up the phone after talking to Lance's family. She feeds the dogs and takes the dogs out to use the bathroom. She drinks some coffee out of one of Lance's coffee cups.

She can't get that dream out of her head it felt so real. She and Lance have always believed you can speak with your deceased loved ones in what she calls dreamland. If she actually did see him, hear him, and feel his arms around her, then she knows he is trying to tell her something, but what.

She just doesn't know what to do until she goes to the funeral home, so she turns on some music. She turns on her normal station and listens to old and classic rock/pop. She pours another cup of coffee, sits down with the dogs next to her on the couch as they did with Lance. She just sits and drinks the coffee feeling numb. "Lance, I will get you justice. I just don't know how at this time." She says this out loud like Lance was going to hear her. Just then Heart's, The Magic Man comes on. She starts to cry. That song always makes her think of Lance. She always called him Magic Man, ever since they connected.

The song ends and her eyes are filled with tears. "Lance I miss you. I don't know if I have the strength to live without you." Just then their song comes on; I know I loved you before I met you. Her eyes tear up more. She puts the coffee cup on the table and goes into his computer room and sits in his chair to try and get a feel of him. She decides to go through his drawers and find something of his just to be near him.

As she is looking through the big drawer on the desk she spots a notebook labeled "Journal." She didn't know Lance kept a journal. It was the perfect thing for her to feel he was there next to her, his own words.

She reads through the journal and finds through his words the job was really stressful on him, and he didn't tell her or want her to know. This made her more determined to find a way to get him justice. She turns to the last page of the journal, it was written the day before he died. She couldn't believe it. He was already trying to find a way to get justice for himself. The journal entry read:

Journal entry Jan 4, 2018.

This job is getting to me. I do not want to tell my wife everything that I have to deal
with there even though I am sure that she sees it on my face every day. I come home
from work tired and aggravated. The job has changed me and I cannot get out of it. I
cannot quit because we need the money so I deal with it every day. I have been looking
into magic to help correct the issues I have to deal with. I know that this job will one
day kill me and I want to be ready to deal out my vengeance on those that have done
me harm. I found several spells and incantations that will fit the purpose for this day.
It is in my study on the shelf next to my book of shadows. The title is the Art of the
practice of Enoch. I have found a way to merge two spells into one powerful spell to
take care of the matter. I have already started the incantation to get things started.
Page 45 -- 50 has the rest of the items I will need to get.

Items:

Fresh graveyard dirt from a killer.
Dragon's blood resigns
3 baby toes
6 oz. of calf's blood
1lb of sea salt
7 black candles
2 oz. of my blood (Stored in the freezer in the garage)

The incantation I have written down in my book of shadows page 17 at the bottom
titles the seeker.

I have 2 weeks till the blood moon gets here to finish the spell. Then I can watch as
those that wronged me get what is coming to them. Then I can be free and myself
again. I just hope that I can make it till then my health is getting worse and I do not
want to worry my wife. Have been getting chest pains and they have been getting
worse.

It was there in black and white a way for me to get justice for Lance. I will use this to get his justice. I will read the pages he has mentioned in his journal, and see if I can complete his spell and get him the justice he deserves. She went to the books and read the pages, and found the items needed to finish what he started.

He had two adaptations of the seeker incantation. One was for him to get his justice now while he is still alive and the other was for him to get his justice from beyond the grave if he didn't live to finish it. Susie then realizes the songs were Lance's way of telling her this existed.

Susie places this journal back in the drawer and questions if she could do this or even if she should do it? "I want justice for you Lance, but if I do this, then I also will have things back on me three times three." She again speaks as if she is talking to Lance directly. She looks at the clock; it's one in the afternoon. She is amazed at how quickly the time went. She goes to her bedroom to change her clothes, puts the dogs up and leaves for the funeral home.

Chapter 6
Preparing for Lance's funeral

By SLMorrical

Donna was at the funeral home when Susie arrived, and she gave her a big hug. "Susie my friend, I'm here for you, for whatever you need."

"Thanks, Donna, I really appreciate that, and at this time, I do need someone. I just feel so numb. I don't know what I am doing. I thought for sure when Lance passed I'd be a lot stronger, but he was so young. He was only 45. How does a 45-year-old man die of a heart attack? I'm a nurse and I didn't even see the signs." Susie is weepy with tears in her eyes as she speaks to Donna.

"Susie, you are a strong person and you will get through this. I'm here for you while you work your way over this." Donna tries to reassure Susie and give her the strength she needs. Mr. Davis walks into the lobby and greets Susie.

"Mrs. Morrell, I am Benjamin Davis, and I am so sorry for your loss, and we will take good care of your husband." Mr. Davis stretches out his hand to shake Susie's.

"Thank you, Mr. Davis, and I am sure my husband Lance will appreciate it even though it is his funeral," Susie responds with tears in her eyes.

"Did your husband work at Motorcycle City?"

"Yes, in fact, it was that placed that killed him. The coroner says it was a heart attack, but I know those salesmen caused him to have the heart attack."

"Mrs. Morrell, I knew your husband. I bought a Motorcycle from him. I thought he was a wonderful guy, and I appreciated his honesty with me with the motorcycle I bought. I use to go to Motorcycle City and shoot the breeze with him every once in a while. I really liked your husband and I saw firsthand how those guys down there treated him."

"Mr. Davis, you can call me Susie, and this is my friend Donna. Thank you for giving me some validation where my husband and Motorcycle City is concerned."

"Susie, you can call me Ben. I spoke with your husband many times about different things, and because I own a funeral home, we had a conversation on funerals and what he wanted at his funeral. Please allow me to respect his wishes, and give him the funeral he would want."

"Ben, I know Lance would love it, but I can't afford what he wants. I would love to give him the funeral he wants with all the bells and whistles, but he didn't have life insurance and we lived paycheck to paycheck. I will apologize to Lance in my own way for this."

"Susie, I want to do this, and I will not charge you for it. Lance helped me in many ways, and if I had bought my bike from one of the other salesmen I would have paid twice the amount. Please, just tell me the day and time to get family and friends together for his funeral."

Susie starts to cry. "Oh thank you, Ben, I don't know what to say. Lance getting the funeral he wants is so gracious of you, and I know he would appreciate it so much." Susie hugs Ben so hard she almost squeezes the life out of him. "I have talked to his family and they need time to travel here and make arrangements to stay somewhere. I have no room at home. If we can, I would like to have his funeral next Friday at 1 pm."

"Susie that is an excellent idea, I will arrange it."

Donna looks at Susie and Ben confused. "Susie, next Friday is January 13th. That's Friday the 13th."

"Yes it is Donna, and for what Lance wants for his funeral it is a perfect day. Thank you, Ben, I'll contact his family and let them know the day and time." Susie shakes Ben's hand and she and Donna walk out of the funeral home. "Donna, I'm going to Motorcycle City, and let them know the day and time because their fake concern selves asked for the information."

"Susie, why tell them if you believe that job and those salesmen caused Lance's heart attack?"

"Because, when Lance's funeral starts, I can't wait to see their faces." Donna and Susie hug each other goodbye and Susie went to Motorcycle City. On the drive to Motorcycle City Susie is rehearsing what she will say to them and how she'll say it. A smile comes over her face. "Lance would love to be a fly on the wall during his funeral."

Susie pulls into the parking lot at Motorcycle City and Tony Otto comes out and meets her. "Hey Susie how are you doing, and what can I do for you?"

"Well, Tony I was just at the funeral home and I decided to stop by on my way home to let y'all know when and where the funeral is for Lance. You said you wanted to know to pay your respects. I did notify the funeral home and his family that you would be there, the funeral home even stated they would mention Motorcycle City."

"Okay, so when and where is it?" Tony Otto thought mentioning Motorcycle City would be a free advertisement.

"It's at Davis Funeral home, on highway one, next Friday, January 13th at 1 pm."

"What? Friday the 13th? Okay, I will let the guys know. Once again we are sorry for your loss. Lance was a great guy." Tony Otto's fake concern is apparent in his voice. Susie drives home calls Lance's family and tells them the day and time and place of Lance's funeral.

She hangs up; she pours herself some ice tea and sits on the couch with the dogs. Susie thinks about Lance's journal and the entry she read this morning. She decides to just think about whether she should do the magic or not. Lance had no doubts about doing magic. Susie, on the other hand, was very cautious because of the law of three.

Chapter 7
Lance's Funeral

By SLMorrical

Warning: The author has noted that this contains the highest level of violence.
Warning: The author has noted that this contains the highest level of language.

Susie keeps going back and forth over what she read in Lance's journal, and today is his funeral. She already prepared the ill of heart, his family, and anyone she knew would be upset at what will take place at his funeral. She didn't tell the guys at Motorcycle City. She can't wait to see their face.

It has been a week since Lance has died, and Susie has decided to get her love his justice and his way. After searching on the internet she was able to find a place where she can get all the ingredients that were in the journal. She was able to get them shipped to her in time for the blood moon. It is what Lance would have wanted her to do.

She puts up the dogs and drives to the funeral home. Ben greets her at the door. "Susie, how are you holding up?"

"I'm doing just fine, but I do miss him. Is everything ready for the funeral?"

"Yes, it is." Ben gives Susie a smile like a cat that caught the canary. They walk into the viewing room. His family, friends, and the guys from Motorcycle city are there patiently waiting for her. She can't believe the turnout, and how many of her friends are there to support her. Susie's eyes start to fill with tears as she walks up to give the eulogy.

Susie starts the eulogy and hears someone yell, "Oh my god there's smoke coming from the coffin." Susie walks over to the coffin and opens it up. There are screams of shock and dismay coming from the attendees as Lance sits up and his face is looking at the crowd.

Susie addresses the attendees. "Everyone please calm down, this was how Lance wanted his funeral. He wanted the smoke which is dry ice. He also wanted his corpse to spring up, so it scares the hell out of everyone."

"Well he did succeed in that, and it wasn't funny at all," Tommy Emerson said to Susie as he was trying to catch his breath.

"What's the matter, Tommy, afraid he came back from the dead?" Susie said with an ominous laugh.

"This is just like Lance, and his morbid thinking," Tony Sand said angrily.

"I knew it wasn't real. I figured Lance had planned it somehow," Matt Miller said with fake bravery.

"Susie, how could you have this for his funeral? I am surprised you would do this," Tony Otto's fake concern continues to be obvious in his voice.

"Susie, that was awesome, I knew Lance would do something like that. I'm Joseph Shoe. I bought a motorcycle from your husband. When I read his obituary, I had to come."

"Thank you, Mr. Shoe, for coming. Okay, everyone, it is time for the real eulogy and the well wish for Lance into the other side. Please, everyone, sit down." Ben walks over to the coffin and pushes Lace into it and closes the lid. "Thank you, Ben. I know what happened is a little jarring to some of you, but that is what Lance wanted. I know my husband could be a little weird and morbid, but I loved him, still love him.

We are here to pay our last respects to him, and that's what we are going to do." Susie waves Ben towards her. "Ben put these two coins over his eyes for me please." Ben takes the coins opens the coffin, and puts the coins over his eyes while ensuring Lance doesn't pop back up. "Now if anyone has something to say about Lance please come up and say it."

Susie realized Lance knew a lot of people. He stayed home because he just loved being with her and the dogs. People she didn't know said the nicest things about her husband.

Susie sits in tears as she listens to everyone say something about Lance. The final person to get up and say something about Lance was Tony Otto with Matt Miller. Susie's tears were now tears of anger, not grief. Tony starts to speak and the lies are so obvious to her, if not to others.

"Lance worked with us at Motorcycle City. He was a great asset to our sales team. He was at work when he had his heart attack. We are really sorry for your loss Susie. We will miss him, and so will his customers."

Tony looks over at Susie, and she says thank you, but what she really wants to do was yell out "You killed him, all of you." She sits and listens to continual lies of how they were grateful for his work on the internet, and his dedication to his customers. The lies continue as each one of the salesmen gets up to say how they will miss his distorted sense of humor.

The funeral ends and everyone goes over to Susie and Lance's family to express their condolences. Susie is gracious as she says "Thank you" to all that come forward. She and Lance's family are even polite to the salesmen of Motorcycle City as they say how sorry they are for the loss of Lance.

Yeah, you're sorry alright, but just wait and see how sorry you're going to be. My husband deserves payback, and I will find a way for him to get it. The salesmen at Motorcycle City should ask for deliverance before they pay for their crime of murder. My husband will have justice and be released from his torment. Redemption comes in many forms as does justice.

Susie arrives home to a package on her doorstep. It is the final ingredients to perform the spell Lance left in his journal and the blood moon is Monday. She brings in the package says hello to the dogs.

"Girls, it is getting close to giving your daddy his revenge and his peace." Susie is still worried about the laws of three, but getting Lance justice is worth the threefold return. She has all the ingredients for the spell and the blood moon is in a couple of days. The course of action is in motion.

Chapter 8
Susie Brings Lance Back for Justice

By SLMorrical

It's the day that Susie has been waiting for, the blood moon is tonight. She can feel Lance around her every day. Susie and Lance always believe on the other side and that ghost or spirits, whatever you want to call them to exist.

This might be why she can still feel Lance around every day. The dogs keep looking in his workroom and wagging their tails, so maybe he is here. "Lance, I'm going to do the spell tonight, but I added something to what you had in your journal," She speaks to him believing he can hear her.

She goes to the workroom and walks over to the bookshelves. She takes them down the books that Lance mentioned in his journal, "The Art of Practice of Enoch," and "The Book of Shadows." She goes over to his closet and pulls out his black hooded magical robe. Susie plans on wearing his robe to perform the spell. The ingredients and other things that she had delivered to her house were out on the table ready to go.

Susie gathers the candles and the ingredients, along with the cauldron and puts them on the back porch. She waits patiently for nightfall as she prepares herself to perform the spell. It's eleven pm, and Susie runs a hot bath with dragon's blood in the water she sets the timer for 30 minutes. She has to stay in the tub of water for thirty minutes to be cleansed for the spell.

The time goes off, and she gets out of the tub and puts on Lance's black hooded magical robe. It feels so good on her skin because the robe feels like Lance's touch on her skin. It's now eleven forty-five as she starts placing the seven black candles in the shape of a pentagram with the other two on the altar. She places all the ingredients in the cauldron, then gets the blood Lance had put in the freezer in the garage.

It's almost time to begin the spell and rise Lance up out of his grave to serve justice on those that killed him. "This is a very powerful magic Lance, but I would do anything for you, my love," she says as if she is talking to Lance right in front of her. Everything is ready, Susie looks at the clock it's almost one o'clock. She has to start the spell at one, so she lights the candles and calls to the Triple Goddess and the Horned God.

"I call to the Triple Goddess of Maiden, Mother, and Crone. I call to the Horned God, The Lord of Death." Susie lights the candles as she calls these two Deities of Wicca. Susie then puts all the ingredients in the cauldron and places a piece of burlap over them.

She starts with resurrecting Lance, so he can get the justice he deserves. "I call to the Horned God; The Lord of Death," Susie lights a match and throws it into the cauldron. "I call for the one that sleeps, and to the dead. Let me see my dear Lance again. I call to thee to rise up; to assemble in flesh and walk once more. I call to thee; come to me, and see you again. I call to Lance to reunite with me once more." Susie throws his blood in the cauldron and the fire gets higher.

"I call to the Triple Goddess of Maiden, Mother, and Crone." Susie holds up a piece of paper attached to a picture of Lance. This piece of paper has the names of the salesmen that continued to give Lance trouble. "I call to thee, for those that have wrong my love, Lance, I call to thee they pay for what has been done to Lance. With the power of the moon and the power of the Triple Goddess, I give my will to Lance to receive his justice. From this day forth they shall receive struggle, and know from whom it comes."

Susie throws the piece of paper attached to a picture of Lance in the fire. They fire rises up and changes color as it hits the air. "I cast and give of my will to see my love again and know he seeks and receives justice. So mote it be."

Susie sits and waits to see what happens and wonders if she combined the spells together correctly. She also wonders if she had the right ingredients. Just then a strong breeze comes through and blows out the candles and the fire. The blood moon is so bright it illuminates the porch. The breeze continues and then becomes cold. Lance was the one who did the spells, not Susie.

"I guess I failed you, Lance, I'll find a way to get you justice, I'll always love you." Susie hopes Lance can hear her.

"And I'll always love you my baby girl," Susie heard in her ear, and she turns towards the voice and she sees Lance standing there with his arms out to hug her.

"Lance? Is it really you, or am I dreaming." Susie just can't believe what she is seeing.

"Yes, baby it's me." He walks over to her and hugs her, gives her a big kiss; just like he always did when he was alive, but there is something different with this kiss. Susie looks at Lance and wonders why his kiss was so cold. His kisses were passionate that she could feel the fire in his kiss. This is not the case now. Susie is now feeling fear, not love. She remembers something she heard once. "What is dead should stay dead."

After they kiss, Lance looks her in the eyes, but his eyes are soulless. "Thank you for giving me the opportunity to get my justice from those that tormented me while I was alive."

Lance holds out a piece of paper. It's the one Susie threw in the fire, with Lance's picture. This list had the names of the salesmen from Motorcycle City. It had Joel Aspen, Matt Miller, Tommy Emerson, Tony Sands, and Tony Otto. The paper didn't even look burned, and it was put in the cauldron with everything else that burned.

Susie looks at Lance, with fear in her eyes. "What have I done?"

"Baby you did a wonderful thing, for me, for us," Lance's voice sounded almost demonic. He hugs and kisses her again, and Susie is filled with fear at bringing Lance back. She will not have to find a way to return him to the grave. "My first stop is Joel. Then to the rest of them for payback."

Susie smiles a scared smile. "Yes baby, give them the payback they deserve for taking you away from me. "The girls will be so happy to see you." They go inside the dogs run to see Susie, and stop. The dogs look at Lance and start to growl at him. "Girls it's your daddy, what is wrong with you?"

Lance goes back out to the porch and Susie realizes this is not her husband. This is not her love. Susie decides to let Lance get his payback In the meantime she will research a way to put him back in his grave. He is not her husband, but a demon that looks like him.

Susie begins to open her eyes and sees the sun coming in. She is just beside herself wondering what or who she set forth to deliver justice for her Lance. She arises and takes the dogs out and notices that Lance is not on the porch anymore, "Did I dream last night?" Susie hears a knock on the door. The dogs start barking; she puts them in the room and answers the door.

"Mrs. Morrell, do you remember speaking with me at the police station?" Detective Case says as she should know why he is at her door.

"Yes Detective Case, I remember you. What can I do for you?" Susie is just confused as to why he would be here, especially since he didn't believe her when she accused the salesmen of murdering Lance.

"Mrs. Morrell I need to ask you a couple of questions about a Joel Aspen. Did you know him?"

"He worked with my husband up at Motorcycle City is all I know. Why?"

"He's dead Mrs. Morrell," Case said flatly. His eyes narrowed. "And as I recall you accused them of murdering your husband. You also stated you would get justice for your husband."

Susie took a moment, which was what case needed.

"Get your finger out of my face!" Susie snarled. "How exactly do you supposed I did this?"

Case stepped forward but didn't say anything.

"Back up. So that's the only lead you've got? Hmmm, seems flimsy to me Detective Case." Susie spat out his name as she started to close the door in his face.

Detective Case pushes the door back preventing it from closing. "I think you know something, Mrs. Morrell, it's too much of a coincidence That Mr. Aspen commits suicide a week after your husband's heart attack. I don't believe in coincidence and I think you know something you are not telling," Detective Case states in a callous tone.

"Then get a warrant," Susie screams as she closes the door on Detective Case. Susie begins to wonder, "How does he know it's my fault? I did bring Lance back from the dead and I know he killed Joel." She starts to feel cold and the hair stands up on the back of her neck.

"Hey babe, I guess you heard about my handiwork," Lance smiles an evil grin.

"Yes I did Lance, in fact the police were here thinking I had something to do with it."

"Why would they think you had something to do with his suicide? Joel's main fear was going back to prison, and as soon as he was arrested for breaking his parole, I knew it would be just a matter of time." Lance's evil grim got just a little wilder and more evil.

"Did he just do it and did you have to persuade him to do it?" Susie was definitely interested in how Lance was able to get Joel to commit suicide.

"It really wasn't that hard to do. All I had to do was put the images in his head of being in prison, which is what he was afraid of. Once he saw those images he was driven to ensure he did not go back to prison. He didn't want to lose his freedom again."

"How did the police know Joel violated his parole?" Susie was even more curious about that.

"Someone anonymously told them about it," Lanced laughed. "Of course we know who that was." Susie looked at Lance and smiled, of course she knew who did that, but she wondered how and when he did that. "Would you like to hear when and how I did it?" Lance is beginning to question her loyalty. Susie has been with Lance for twenty years, and knows all his tall tale signs. This may be a demon that looks like Lance, but it stills acts like Lance. She knew she was being questioned on her loyalty.

"Of course, I want to hear it," Susie was making sure her loyalty was proven.

"Well I called the police and gave them all the information about Joel and how he was violating his parole. That was all I had to do, and he was arrested and put in jail immediately, and you know the rest." Lance is definitely proud justice was served on his part. "One down, and four more to go, until justice and redemption is completed." Susie fears the terror is just beginning for those salesmen at Motorcycle

Chapter 10
Lance Continues Serving Justice

By SLMorrical

Tony Sand had agitation and dread in his voice when Matt Miller calls him and ask him to come sailing with him. "No Matt, sorry, I have to prepare Joel's funeral arrangements. It was me who caused him to violate his parole. It's the least I can do. Besides, the owner of Motorcycle City insisted I do it." "The owner believes that the death of two salesmen weeks apart is some kind of omen." Tony stated with cynicism in his voice.

"Tony, it's a beautiful day to be out and about," Matt said with disappointment in his voice. "Okay, man I'll see you Monday morning, enjoy your weekend." Matt hung up his cell phone and boarded his sailboat. Looking up at the sky he smiled, "Clear skies today, what a wonderful sky to sail in." He cast off and enjoys the warmth of the sun and the cool breeze. He sails out to the ocean and anchors for a bit, opens the cooler and pulls out a beer and opens it. "Oh this is the life." He sips his beer. He just sits with his eyes closed relaxes on the boat enjoying the sound of the water, the warmth of the sun, and the cool breeze that comes through every so often.

"Hello Matt, enjoying the day?"

Matt opens his eyes and rubs them twice. "What? How? Am I seeing things? You're dead," Matt says in terror. Matt is in shock as he is looking and talking to Lance. "You died of a heart attack. You can't be here."

"Yes I can and I'm here. Surprise! I have comeback for you and the others to redeem their selves. All of you at Motorcycle City are responsible for the stress that killed me. Are you ready to take responsibility for what you did? Responsibility for all the ridiculing, persecution and harassment you gave me every day at Motorcycle City," Lance looks malevolently at Matt.

"Yeah man, I'm sorry," Matts says in fright. "Yes I'm ready for redemption."

"Okay, well here it comes," Lance laughs a vile laugh. He turns toward the ocean and moves his hands around while mumbling some strange words in a language Matt has never heard. The wind picks up, breaking waves start slowly. Lance looks at Matt as he continues to mumble and cause the change in the atmospheric weather.

"What the hell is happening?" Matt is starting to panic as he feels the wind pick up and the boat sway in the breaking waves. Matt knows if a wave breaks underneath the boat, the boat will drop a distance and crack its hull. This is where his panic comes from. Matt looks at Lance, "You're going to capsize the boat, and make me drown, aren't you? How is that my redemption?"

Lance's wicked face says it all. "Yes you are going to drown, just like Joel committed suicide. It is what I call redemption, justice for what you did to me and my wife."

"What did I do to you and your wife? Why is killing me redemption for me and justice for you/" Matt is horror-struck knowing Lance is going to drown him. It is apparent in his voice.

"This is justice, for all the workplace mobbing, and stealing of customers and sales. These things caused my wife and me stress and financial hardship. It also killed me and left my wife alone to deal with things," Lance's anger is apparent. The wind continues to pick up and a breaking wave goes under the boat, causing it to pitch and flip in the water. The boat capsizes and Matt is stuck under the capsized boat. The waves get bigger and bigger until has died from drowning. Lance smiles as Matt Miller's dead body floats to the surface and is still in the water. "Two down, three to go." Lance sees the Coast Guard coming towards Matt's body and he just disappears.

"Hey Charlie, I thought I say someone standing out there on the water."

"You're seeing things Duke. No one can stand on water. I do see a body in the water let's get it and take it in." Charlie and Duke pick up Matt's body, wrap it up on the boat, and take it to shore. Charlie calls it in so the police will be at the marina when they arrive.

"Who is this?" Detective Case asks the Coast Guard.

"Hey Robert the drivers licenses says his name is Matt Miller," Detective Vince Cole called out to Detective Case.

"Matt Miller? That name sounds familiar," Case was trying to comprehend where he had heard the name before. "Vince does the body have any other information on it?"

"There are some business cards." Vince tells Case as he hands them over.

"Motorcycle City, interesting that makes the third guy from that place that has died in the last few weeks." Detective Case's mind was filled with questions, but no answers. "Vince, we are going to Motorcycle City, and hopefully find some answers."

"That's great Robert but its Sunday it's closed," Detective Cole said with confusion. "We need to notify the family." Detective Case nodded at Detective Cole. The detectives got in their car and went to notify Matt Miller's family about his drowning. On the way Detective Cole thought Detective Case was keeping something from him. "Robert, why do you want to go to Motorcycle City to find answers about a guy who drown while sailing?"

Detective Robert Case already in deep concentration looked at Detective Vince Cole, with his brows furrowed, "Because Mr. Miller is the third Motorcycle City salesman to die in the last few weeks. It may be just a coincidence, but I don't believe in coincidences."

In shock and awe, Detective Cole looks at Detective Case, "Really three within the last few weeks?"

"Yes three and I believe the answer is at Motorcycle City, we will find out tomorrow." They continue the drive to Matt Miller's address to notify his family.

Chapter 11
Tony starts to suspect Susie

By SLMorrical

Warning: The author has noted that this contains the highest level of language.

"Susie, what did you and Lance do?" Tony Otto's ominous tone told Susie he knew what she did.

"What in the Hell are you talking about Tony?" Susie tried to camouflage the truth in her voice.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about. First Lance dies of a heart attack, then Joel hangs himself to prevent going to prison, and now Matt has drowned while he was out sailing,' Tony said callously.

Susie angrily debates Tony's accusations, "First of all my husband died of natural causes, according to the death certificate. If you think Lance had something to do with Joel, and Matt, you should be on medication, because Lance is dead. You went to his funeral, and saw for yourself he was lying in the coffin dead." Susie slams the phone down, continues her research on how to put Lance back in the grave.

"I wonder how Tony Otto came to the conclusion I had something to do with Joel's and Matt's death. It was Lance who killed them, but I brought Lance back, so I did have something to do with it." Susie just then finds the incantation to put Lance back in the grave.

Tony looks at the phone, "She hung up on me, probably because I'm right? Susie and Lance did have something to do with Joel's and Matt's death. I have to agree that it would be impossible for Lance to have something to do with it. He is dead, and people only come back from the dead in horror movies." Tony just knows Susie or Lance did something.

"We always teased Lance about being Wiccan. We always thought it was just a joke religion."

"Hey Tony," Tommy Emerson called out. "Tony what's up you appear a little pre-occupied."

"Yeah, I am Tommy. Since I received the news from Matt's wife he drowned yesterday, something just keeps nagging at me. You know he asked me to go with him. Maybe I should have and he would be alive." Tony said oddly, believing it would have made a difference if he went with Matt.

"Tony if you were with him you would have drowned also. Matt's boat capsized in a freak storm."

"Yeah Tommy, freak is the appropriate word. Just like Joel, strangely enough, hanging himself, because he was going to prison."

"Come on Tony you know as well as I do Joel always said he would rather die than go back to prison."

"I know he did, but Joel committing suicide to prevent going to prison, I guess makes some sense." Tony thought for a moment. "How did the cops know he violated his parole? The only people that knew were you, Matt, Tony Sand, and Lance."

"Someone told them," Tommy started to wonder also what was going on, "Maybe someone told their wife and she told the police."

"The only one that would do that is Lance; he told his wife everything that went on here. He never kept anything to himself. He was always blabbing to his wife about what we do here."
Tommy starts to pick up the phone, "Well! we will just ask them who told them'"

"I already asked the cops and they said it was an anonymous phone call, but it was a man's voice."

"Tony, seriously Lance was already dead for about a week or so when the cops were told about Joel violating his parole. You're not suggesting it was him." Tommy was starting to get a little worried. "Tony, you don't think one of us told them, do you?

Tony Otto looks at Tommy Emerson, and says in a grave voice, "I think Lance told them."

"What," Tommy is shocked at what he heard from Tony, "Are you crazy?

Tony Sand walks into the Sales floor, "What's going on guys?"

"Tony thinks Lance called the cops on Joel. How is that possible?"

"Maybe he called them before he had his heart attack." Tony Sand says rationally. "Lance calling the police somehow from the grave is just crazy thinking." Tony Sands at times believed Lance when he talked about putting curses or stuff like that on people. Tony had his suspension about Lance and his wife doing black magic. "Tommy, didn't Lance always talk about bringing you a chicken foot to curse you?"

"Come on Tony that was all in fun, he wasn't serious," Tommy snickered, "I can't believe the two of you are serious. Don't you think he would have done something to us when he was alive if he was capable of doing everything he said he could do? Tony, do you believe your nightmares come true also?" Tommy looked over at Tony Sands and snickered.

"No Tommy, I don't believe my nightmares come true. I stopped believing in the boogeyman when I was ten." Tony Sands sarcastically states.

"Okay then, believing that Lance is calling the cops, and creating freak storms from the grave falls in line with believing in the boogeyman." Tommy ridiculed.

Tony Otto and Tony Sands looked at Tommy in a tone of annoyance. "I suppose you're right Tommy." Tony Sands answered quickly.

"What about you Tony."

Tony Otto wasn't convinced, but this conversation needed to be done with. "You're probably right; we live in the real world, not the fantasy world." Tony believes he needs to research the Wiccan religion to see what if anything is possible.

"Okay let's get to work. We are open and just waiting for the customers." Tony tries to go on as normal, but it is still in the back of his mind that Lance and his wife Susie did some mojo on them.

A car pulls into the parking lot with two men. Tony thought, "Okay let's just deal with this later." Unfortunately for Tony, the car with the two men was the police, and he would have to continue to deal with this now.

Chapter 12
Case Sees first hand Lance's Justice

Detective Case and Detective Cole pull their car into the parking lot at Motorcycle City. "Now Vince let me do the talking."

"Okay, Robert it's all on you." Vince was still curious what kind of information they would find at Motorcycle City. The two men got out of the car and walked into the showroom. Tony Otto greeted them.

"Hello and welcome to Motorcycle City, I'm Tony Otto, what can I help you with?"

"I'm Detective Case and this is Detective Cole. I would like to ask you some questions about the progression of your salesmen dying. It just seems strange that three of them died of natural cause or suicide in a matter of just a few weeks."

"Yes Detective Case, it is strange, but I know....." Tony Otto realized if he proceeds with his thought he is going to come across as crazy.

"Go on Mr. Otto." Detective Case feels Tony knows more than he wants to express at this time.

While Detective Case and Detective Cole are speaking with Tony Otto, Tony Sands, and Tommy Emerson are in their offices trying to look busy.

Tommy Emerson is on his computer looking at vacation spots for him and his wife to go in the summer. All of a sudden the website goes black as if the computer crashed. "What happened? When Lance was here he would have fixed this, but now what?" The computer screen lights up and Tommy is shocked at what is on his laptop screen.

"What the hell? Why am I seeing a chicken foot with feathers and beads?" At that moment a spider crawls out from under the laptop. Tommy is deathly afraid of spiders. He hits it with some paper and shoos it off the desk.

"Hello Tommy, one spider and you try to be brave, but I know what really scares you."

Tommy looks up and Lance is standing at his desk. "So the chicken foot was just in fun, or did I mean it?" Lance says with an evil smile and chuckle, another spider comes out from under the computer. Tommy shoos that one and another one comes from under the computer.

Tommy starts to see spiders multiple and they come at him in all directions. He feels one fall on his head and starts walking around on his head and face. Tommy is frightened beyond a normal scare. Tommy feels another one fall on his head he looks and there are spiders everywhere.

The posters and stuff on the walls shifted before his eyes into more and more spiders. These hallucinations began to resemble Tommy's greatest fear; it attached to his mind and made the images of spiders more concrete. He reaches in his desk drawer and pulled out his gun with spiders attached to it. He starts to shoot at Lance and all the spiders around him trying to control his fear while killing it.

Detective Case, Detective Cole, and Tony Otto stood up immediately hearing the first shot.

Tony Otto in shock yells, "Tommy what are you doing? Are you crazy?"

Detective Case and Detective Cole pull out their guns and raise them at Tommy Emerson.

Detective Case yells at Tommy Emerson to put down his weapon and he will not be hurt.

Tommy in a hallucinated state yells at the Detectives, "No there are spiders everywhere and they are going to kill me, I need to protect myself."

Detective Case not seeing any spiders chooses his next words to Tommy very carefully. "Mr. Emerson, let us kill the spiders drop your gun or I will shot you, not the spiders."

"They're everywhere, I need to kill them before they kill me. I see the queen spider, she is a big as a person" Tommy raises his gun towards Detective Case to kill the queen because Tommy's hallucinated state saw the queen spider, not Detective Case.

"This is your final warning Mr. Emerson, drop the gun now." Detective Cole yells as both Tommy and Detective Case are pulling the trigger, and they both go down after the shots were fired.

Tommy was a good shot, but Detective Case had something Tommy didn't; a bulletproof vest. Detective Case starts to get up, but not Tommy Emerson.

Detective Cole goes over to Tommy and kicks the gun away, and checks for any sign of life. "He's gone Robert, it was a necessary shot. He was trying to kill you. Good thing you wore your vest today, or you would be on slab also."

Detective Case didn't know what to think of what happened. It was like suicide by cop.

"Vince! Call it in, and cordon off the area. It's a crime scene now. Mr. Otto, Mr. Sands you have to stay your witnesses in this crime." Hearing the sirens, Detective Case knew it would be a matter of minutes till the crime scene unit arrives.

Chapter 13
Coincidence, Tragic Irony or Magic

By SLMorrical

Warning: The author has noted that this contains the highest level of language.

The parking lot is covered in police cars, while Tony Otto and Tony Sands are inside talking to the Detectives Superior about the shooting. "He just went crazy and started shooting up the place," Tony Sands said in fear and confusion.

Tony Otto speaks up, and with confidence spurts out, "I know who is responsible for this, I know who's killing the salesmen here."

Captain Barbara Canus looking at Tony Otto, and asking with sincerity, "What are you talking about? Tommy Emerson was shot by Detective Case. The question now, was it a just kill?"

Tony Otto stares at Captain Canus. "Tommy did point the gun at Detective Case and fired, but he didn't see Detective Case, he saw Lance."

"Lance? Tony, what are you saying? Lance is dead, and I didn't see him, did you see Lance?" Tony Sands was starting to believe his boss was losing it, really losing it.

"Well Tony, Tommy is dead, murdered and someone is responsible, and it wasn't suicide by cop. Lance made it look like suicide by cop."

"Mr. Otto, am I hearing you correctly? You're saying that a dead man, not Detective Case killed your salesman, even though the bullet came out of Detective Case's gun." Captain Canus questions if Tommy Emerson wasn't the only crazy salesman at Motorcycle City.

"Captain, I think Mr. Otto is just trying to sort out what has been occurring at Motorcycle City. See, this is the fourth salesman that has died in the last few weeks, the first one was Lance Morrell, who died of a stress-induced heart attack." Detective Case was beginning to believe there was something strange going on at Motorcycle City. "Apparently Lance and his wife were into Witchcraft, Black Magic," Detective Case stated jokingly.

Captain Canus choose her next words very carefully. It was obvious they were all delusional. "Black Magic, Witchcraft? Are you seriously telling me that because they are into this stuff they killed Mr. Emerson, and Detective Case's gun was just the instrument to do this?"

"Yes, that is what is happening to all my salesmen," Tony Otto announced.

Detective Case pulls Captain Canus off to the side. "Captain just humor them and go to talk to Lance Morrel's widow. What can it hurt? You know this was a just kill, and who knows it might just help move this case quicker." Detective Case was hoping he could convince Captain Canus to see Lance's widow. He was curious to see if she actually found a way to make good on her threat to get Lance Justice.

"Okay." Captain Canus walks over to Tony Otto, "I will go and talk to Mr. Morrell's widow, after I notify Mr. Emerson's widow, okay."

Tony speaks in a tone of relief, looks at Detective Case and Captain Canus, "Thank you. You will see I'm right."

Captain Canus takes off in her police car, heads to notify Tommy Emerson's wife that her husband is dead. After notifying Tommy's widow, she heads back to the police station. At the police station, she researches Lance, Susie and Tony Otto. "What is this?" She finds the complaint Susie Morrell made on the salesmen at Motorcycle City. "Mrs. Morrell really believes the salesmen murdered her husband. I can understand why Mr. Otto believes the Morell's are responsible for the last three deaths."

"Captain, did you talk to Mrs. Morrell?" Detective Case was curious to find out what happened.

"No Detective Case, I didn't. I did find something interesting though." Captain Canus was sure Detective Case would know what she found. He was the one that took the complaint.

"What did you find?" Detective Case curious if there was something more to the Morrell couple then meets the eye.

Captain Canus thought for a minute. "Detective Case, you took a complaint of murder from Mrs. Morrell, after her husband had a heart attack."

"Why yes, Captain I did. Is that an issue?" Detective Case appears a little confused.

"Of course it is Detective, you don't see the irony of this situation?"

"No, sorry Captain I don't."

"Lance Morrell dies of a stress-induced heart attack, and his wife accuses his coworkers of killing him." Captain Canus pauses for a minute to let it sink in. "Because Mr. Morrell had the salesmen and the manager, believing he could do black magic or witchcraft, the coincidental deaths that followed has Mr. Otto believing in a delusion brought on probably by guilt."

Detective Case thought about what the Captain said, "So all the deaths are just a tragic irony, and there is no witchcraft or black magic."

Captain Canus just shakes her head and looks directly into Detective Case's eyes. "Stuff like that only happens in movies. Now all four cases are closed and solved, even the just kill you did. Are feeling like Mr. Otto and becoming delusional out of guilt for killing Mr. Emerson?"

"No Captain, No." Detective Case thinks for a minute, turns toward the Captain "Okay Captain, if you don't need me anymore I am going home."

"Goodbye Detective Case and this is the end. No more delusional fantasy police work at Motorcycle City."

Detective Case walks out of the Captain's office having her believe he was done with this, but what Captain Canus doesn't know is Detective Case believes Tony Otto and plans on talking to Susie Morrell. Detective Case, born and raised in Voodoo country, knows Mr. Otto is not delusional. He saw his father killed and brought back for redemption, magic justice.

Chapter 14
A Friend's Suspicions Presented

By SLMorrical

Susie is sitting at the table researching a way to send Lance back. She hears a knock on the door and answers it. "What are you doing here?"

"What? You're not excited to see me?"

"Yes, T I am always happy to see you. Come on in." Susie gestures with her hand for her longtime friend Teresa Legan to enter her house.

"How are you doing Doc?" Teresa says with concern. Ever since Susie completed her Ph.D., Teresa always called her Doc.

"I am hanging in there T." Susie's voice cracks with each word. "I miss him so much. He was my life."

"I know Doc. I need to ask you something, and I want you to answer it honestly." Teresa stated with sincerity.

"Of course, you know I won't lie to you." Susie is apprehensive about the question T wants to ask.

Teresa thinks very carefully about how she is going to ask Susie that burning question, "Besides Lance there have been three other salesmen from Motorcycle City that has died in the last few weeks. Doc, did you have something to do with that?"

Susie lets out a big sigh, "T, yes I did. I brought Lance back from the dead, and.."

"He has given each one of them a chance at redemption," Lance said as he poked his head in the door from the porch.

Teresa screams and is terrified at what she is seeing. "I'm not going to hurt you; I guess it is a shock to see a dead man walking." Lance bellows out a big evil laugh.

"Doc, what, how, you always said you were scared of the three times three rule. You always said witchcraft or black magic was something you wouldn't do. Doc, I just can't believe you actually did it, and it actually worked."

"T, please understand. I was so distraught over losing him. I knew his heart attack was caused by that place, and those salesmen," Susie is pleading with her friend to understand.
"I found his journal the day after he died; Lance wrote a spell for magical justice. All I had to do was find a way for him to execute his justice." Susie was so afraid she was going to lose her friend. That would be the three times three coming back on her.

Teresa surprised at what Susie has done looks at her not knowing what to say, "Doc, I don't know what to say. I never would have believed what you did was even possible."

"T, are you going to tell anyone?" Susie is begging her friend, while Lance is ensuring his magical justice doesn't get interrupted.

"Your secret is safe with me. I would never betray you Doc, no matter what you have done." Teresa hugs her friend as to reassure Susie no one would know anything.

Teresa leaves, Susie is relieved that she has a good friend to talk to on this. "Are you sure she won't say anything?" Lance growls.

"Yes I'm sure, and you leave her alone. Just stick to the guys at the dealership." Susie is starting to worry that Lance is getting out of control. She fears for her friend's life and her own.

"Babe I'm sorry I didn't mean to upset you. I know you went against everything you promised yourself you wouldn't carry out in your lifetime. I know you performed the spell, because of your love and devotion to me."

Susie thought for a moment before answering Lance, "Yes Lance, I went against the Wiccan Rede of you harm none, do what you will. I brought you back for harm, actually to kill, so yes I have changed my own fate, and by the law of three, what I have done come back to me three folds."

Lance laughed, "The law of three has already given justice, for it was I you already lost. When I have exacted my justice, their redemption it will be all over. I am Karma in its full form." Lance leaves in a poof, and Susie knew where he was headed. He was headed to his next act of justice and redemption.

Susie thought long and hard and continued to research a way to send him back. "It's not justice any more it's murder." Susie knows just who his next murder victim will be. She wonders if she should warn them or the police. She picks up the phone and begins to dial.

"Babe, you're not turning against me are you?" Lance appeared directly in front of her.

"No, why would you think that I was the one who brought you back." Susie is trying to hide her fear.

Lance looks at the phone in her hand. Growling at Susie, "Who are you calling?"

"I just wanted to see if T made it home okay, that's all." Susie's fear of what she brought back is intensifying. She hangs up the phone walks over to Lance, "Honey you know I love you and have your back no matter what," kissing him in between words.

"I love you too babe. I don't know what came over me. I have never questioned your loyalty to me before, and I shouldn't now." Lance sounded like the man he was before he died.

This change in personality and temperament is a true sign what was brought back isn't Lance, just pieces of him.

Chapter 15
Lance's Next Victim

By SLMorrical

Warning: The author has noted that this contains the highest level of violence.

Pacing the floor, Susie just knew who was going to die next. She knew who would be Lance's next victim. She calls Tony Otto at Motorcycle city trying to stop what she has done. She may have found how to put Lance back into the grave but doesn't have all the ingredients to do so.

"Motorcycle City, Tony Sands speaking, how may I help you?"

Susie's voice quivered, "I would like to speak with Tony Otto, please."

"He's not here. I'm the Manager, Can I help you?"

"I thought Tony Otto was the manager."

"The owner gave him some time off. I'm the manager until he comes back. What can I help you with as the manager of Motorcycle City?" Tony Sands says shrewdly. He was striving to get Tony Otto's position since he first started.

"No thank you." Susie hangs up the phone. "Oh no, it's already started, and Tony Sands will be dead by tomorrow. She sat down at the computer, tracking her order for the spell ingredients to send Lance back. "It looks like my order will be here by Thursday, next week. It won't be in time to save Tony Otto, but it will be in time to save T, and myself."

Back at Motorcycle City Tony Sands is in his glory and relishing in the fact that Tony Otto has been relieved of his position. "I deserve to have this position, not Tony Otto. TJ knows who the better manager is." Tony Sands is sure his boss will never find out he lied when he was hired. He doesn't have any experience being a manager of anything. Lance knew this, also knew Tony Sands had a fear that someone would find out he is a phony.

Tony Spots a customer coming in the door. There were only the two new salesmen and him. One salesman approached the customer and began showing him around. The deal was made and the salesman brought the customer to Tony Sands to finalize the paperwork. Then the problems started. The customer walks into Tony Sands's office and is introduced as Lance Justice. Tony Sands stands up and reaches out to shake his hand, and complete the deal. He looks at the customer and immediately freaks.

"How are you here? You can't be here," Tony's voice trembles as he speaks.

The salesman and the customer look at each other in confusion, "Are you okay Mr. Sands? I am ready to sign the paperwork, and take the bike home," Lance Justice says questioning Tony's attitude towards him.

Suddenly, TJ, the owner of Motorcycle City, arrives and asks to speak with Tony Sands immediately. The salesman and the customer leave the office as TJ closes the door. "Well Mr. Justice, I guess it will have to wait for a bit." The salesman says in disappointment.

"Don't bother, I can't wait, and I don't want to do business with a crazy Manager," Lance states as he leaves. The new salesmen don't know what Lance looks like, and TJ was so angry he didn't even notice him.

The salesmen can hear TJ yelling at Tony. He is furious with Tony Sands, "Tony, you lied on your application, to me and everyone, You never ran a dealership, You never sold anything until you started working here."

Tony starts to think and choose his words carefully to ensure he can lie his way out this confrontation. He doesn't want TJ to see him for the phony he is. "TJ what are you talking about? I worked as a General Manager for a dealership in South Carolina and actually increased their business. Why are you saying these things?"

TJ's face wrinkled in anger, "That dealership, Car Studio, doesn't even exist. Tell me another lie."

Tony Sands knew the gig was up, and TJ knows Tony Sands wasn't who he said he was.
"It went out of business, and that is why I moved here."

TJ shook his fist at Tony Sands, "It never existed in South Carolina. You moved here because you were fired from your truck driving job. You were fired for falsifying purchase orders, the trucks manifest, and even the doc stamp. You're a phony and have no clue on how to run a dealership. Tony Otto is coming back tomorrow to his position. You can stay on as a salesman."

"But TJ, why are you doing this now after two years? Who gave you this information, and why did you even look for it?"

"I was getting a lot of complaints on your paperwork from the bank, and from customers who aren't getting service because the service agreement isn't specified, but they are paying for it. You are costing this dealership money, which comes out of my pocket." TJ storms out of Tony Sands's office.

Tony Sands's fear has come to fruition. He can no longer play the important card anymore. "I can't believe after two years this has happened. I just want to know how. "

"You want to know how Tony," Lance says with a smirk.

"It was you but how, when, why?" Tony seeing Lance just increases his fear and despair. He knows there is nowhere to turn now.

"You think nothing can touch you, and you can live your lies, and be someone you're not. I exposed you, executed you fear." Lance looks at Tony with an evil grin, "Now what are you going to do, because you can't live your lies anymore."

Tony Sands reaches in his desk drawer, pulls out the revolver he illegally has there, points it at Lance. "I'm going to put you back in your grave, that is what I'm going to do now."

Lance laughing at Tony as he pulls the trigger. The shot is so loud it was even heard by TJ outside. Everyone at Motorcycle City runs over to Tony Sands's office, and are shocked a what they see. Tony Sands is lying on the floor with a bullet in his head. TJ yells, "Call 911,"

One of the salesmen called 911. "911 what's your emergency?"

"I'm at Motorcycle City, and our acting manager just committed suicide."

"Ambulance and police are on their way. Is he breathing?"

"No, he shot himself in the head." The salesman hangs up and notifies TJ the ambulance and police were on their way. "Why would Tony Sands kill himself, sir?"

TJ was thinking over the conversation with Tony Sands, wondered if it was his fault, "I don't know why."

Lance hidden, watching as the ambulance and police arrive. Lance laughing as he hears the salesmen and TJ, tell the police Tony Sands shot himself. Lance grinning an evil grin watching them pick up Tony Sands's body and placing it on the stretcher. Pretending to be someone else he ask "What happen?"

"A salesman killed himself," the paramedic answered.

Lance grins, "Did he?"

Chapter 16
Detective Case confronts Susie

By SLMorrical

Detective Case parks on the street next to Susie Morrell's driveway as her friend Teresa Legan is leaving in her car. He waits for just a minute, he sees a man leave the house. He wonders if that is Lance or if she already has a new boyfriend. Some women are like that.

He reaches for his camera to take a picture of this man. He positions the camera, the man is gone. "How is that possible?" Case thought, it suddenly hit him, it was Lance.

He waits for a minute to ensure Dead Lance is not aware of his presence. "It appears the coast is clear," he said confidently. He walks up to the door and knocks. He hears the dogs barking.

"Just a minute," Susie yells. She opens the door, "What do you want?" Susie snarls.

Detective Case realizes Susie is in her right for that attitude. "Mrs. Morrell, we need to talk."

"I have nothing to say to you, Detective."

"Oh, I think you do. I know about Magical justice. I saw my father get killed and brought back for magical justice, so yes you do." Detective Case was not going anywhere until he talked to her.

"So Detective Case, you know all about the beacons, the impulses we create with our emotions, that deceased loved ones are sensitive to? Because you think you saw your father come back from the dead that is what I did." Susie carefully thinks about her next words. "Someone being resurrected is not logically possible, and you should see someone about your delusions."

"Mrs. Morrell, I have no delusions. I just hope you know what you're doing, and realize you have no control over what you brought back. I encountered the evil thing that came back looking like my dad, it was pure evil. You have to put Lance back into his grave now before he gets too powerful." Detective Case pleads with Susie to stop Lance.

"Either arrest me for something or get out of here before I call the station, and tell them I'm being harassed by a delusional Police Detective."

Detective Case was furious now and grabbed Susie's arm hard. "What you brought back is not your husband, it is nothing but evil. Every time it kills it becomes stronger. You can't control it. It will eventually kill you and everyone that knows Lance or you."

Susie carefully thinks on her word. "Let go of my arm, or I will sue you for harassment and battery." Susie may sound angry and forcefully, but she is scared.

"Yes let go of her arm, or you will acquire my justice," Lance growled.

Detective Case knew it was Lance, but wanted to make sure Lance didn't know Case knew who he was. "You must be the boyfriend. Well, it didn't take long for you Mrs. Morrell to bring a new man to your bed. You sure didn't grieve long. Good day to you both."

Detective Case started to walk backward as Susie was closing the door. After he saw and heard the door close completely, he ran to his car and drove away. He had no idea where he was going until he heard about the suicide at Motorcycle City. He turned around, heading for the station.

"Lance, did you have to do that? Now he knows you are back from the dead."

"He didn't seem to know, he thought I was your new boyfriend."

Susie thought for a minute, maybe Detective Case was a way to put Lance back in his grave. "Lance we don't need cops snooping around." Susie hugs Lance as a reassurance of her loyalty. Lance felt cold to hug. It was like hugging a bag of frozen vegetables.

"Don't worry babe, Tony Otto is the last one, after him, my justice will be done, and they will all have been redeemed.

Detective Case arrived at the station and immediately went to Captain Canus's office. "Captain, there's another salesman dead at Motorcycle City. When are you going to realize this is not a coincidental tragedy?"

Captain Canus turns her chair around to face Detective Case, "And what am I supposed to tell the District Attorney? We have four murders committed by a dead man. He's going to think I'm crazy and put me away, not Susie Morrell."

"I was at her house today talking with her when her dead husband showed up, showing his teeth."

"I told you not to talk to her. You disobeyed a direct order."

"Captain a call for you, line one."

"Thank you, Sergeant. Hello, yes this is Captain Canus. He did what? Okay, I will take care of it. Thank you and Goodbye." Captain Canus could not believe what she heard on the phone.

"Detective Case that was Mrs. Morrell, she said you physically assaulted her and harassed her. Even if I could get the District Attorney to believe in magical justice, you just blew it. You stay away from Mrs. Morrell. That's an order. If I hear you're within 50 feet of her, you will be suspended."

"But Captain."

"No buts, leave her be."

"Yes, Ma'am." Detective Case may appear to listen to Captain Canus, but he will not give up on getting Lance put back in his grave. "I need to find a way to do it myself before he kills again."

"Hey Robert, did you hear there was another suicide at Motorcycle City?" Vince called to him.

"Yeah, I did. What about it?"

"Well, I might know someone who can do some mojo to take out, what you called it, magical justice. Yeah, I have a Great Aunt who is a Voodoo Priestess." Vince smiled at Robert.

"Can we go and see her Vince?"

"I don't see why not."

Detective Case and Detective Cole headed out to see Vince's Great Aunt. In the car, Detective Cole appears anxious, "What's up, Vince?
"
"I haven't seen my Great Aunt in years. She scared me when I was a kid." Vince is trembling at the thought of seeing his Great Aunt.

"Why did you suggest we see her then?"

"Robert, like you I grew up around magic, it was Voodoo though."

They pull up in front of Vince's Great Aunt's house. The house itself was scary. Detective Case was familiar with this type of surrounding and he smiled. He may not be able to prove Susie Morrell was involved, but he can at least save her and anyone else in danger from Lance.

They get out of the car and knock on the door with anticipation. Detective Case was hopeful this would be what he needed to stop the killings.

Chapter 17
Vince's Great Aunt

By SLMorrical

Robert and Vince knock on the door of the house where Vince's Great Aunt lives. Robert looking at the house. "It's like being in the bayou." There are five or six bald cypress trees with the hanging Spanish moss. Robert feels he's arrived into the Louisiana Bayou as he gets out of the car.

Vince's Great Aunt opens the door, smiling. "Hey beb, I haven't seen you since you were knee-high to a grasshopper."

"Hi Aunt Marie," Vince is blushing as he hugs her. "Robert meet my Great Aunt Marie Laveau."

"Marie Laveau? That's the name of the most famous Voodoo Priestess in New Orleans buried in the Saint Louis Cemetery. How could you be her?" Robert's days are becoming stranger and stranger.

"Robert, is it? I'm her Great, Great, Great Granddaughter and was named after her. My momma always said I look so much like her, I could be her reincarnation," Marie giggled. "The day I was born my father, a Voodoo Priest, had a vision of Marie Laveau telling him to name me in her honor."

Detective Case looked at Mrs. Laveau politely asks, "Mrs. Laveau, may we come in and discuss magical justice with you?"

"I don't do that type of dark magic. I know my namesake did, but I don't."

"No, we want to reverse a magic justice that has been performed. One where a person has been brought back from the grave and giving out redemption, justice in the form of fear, and murder." Detective Case pauses, waiting for Marie to answer.

"Aunt Marie, I know you can help us before someone else dies," Vince pleads with his Great Aunt.

Marie Laveau chooses her next words wisely, "I need some information, to be able to reverse anything. That includes the incantation or spell used to bring about this magical justice. I will also need something from the person that performed the magical justice. I will need everything I am writing on the list and before the next full moon. This has to be done at the next full moon."

She hands the list to Detective Case, "I will get everything you need on this list. What if I can bring the person who performed this magical justice to you."

"If they are willing to reverse the spell. It would make the reversal spell so much more powerful." "Now bring that list with you and I will see what I have in my garden in the back." They go out the back door, Robert is in awe, he has stepped even further into the Bayou. More bald Cypress Trees with Spanish Moss hanging down. Robert and Vince follow Marie out to the garden.

"Robert, please read the list and I will see what I have."

Detective Case reads off the list of the herbs and crystals and other things. "Dragon blood, and Baby toes? How are you going to get those?"

"Dragon blood is a tree, and it is this one right here, " Marie Laveau states as she walks over to an umbrella looking tree. She cuts off a small branch. "See this red resin that looks like blood, this is what we will use, the dragon blood."

"Okay, I see that, but baby toe? Is that a plant also?" Detective Case was sure hoping it was a plant.

"Yes, Robert, it is a plant. It is this little one here." Marie picked up a little succulent plant with little bubs that look just like little baby's toes. Marie Laveau looked around. Walked over to Detective Case and read her list. "It seems we have all the plants and herbs we need. I have graveyard dirt in the house. Seems we have everything, except the silver-lined mirror."

"I will get that for you, Mrs. Laveau. Why do we need a silver-lined mirror?"

"To trap the evil completing the magical justice. Do you think you can just bring evil to life, and kill it when you're done? No, once evil is born it doesn't die, it just transforms."

Detective Case knows magical justice, but not about evil being born. "Can I ask a question?"

"Sure Robert, what is it?"

"My father was brought back for magical justice, and then when it was complete he disappeared. Why and how?"

"Well, the person who did the magical justice spell either put a time frame on it or trapped him into a silver-lined mirror."

"So his spirit is still alive?"

"No, the darkness, or evil is still accessible. The darkness can be transformed into something or someone else. If the person trapped the evil that impersonated your father, into a silver-lined mirror and didn't bury it in his grave, it could still be accessible by breaking the mirror."

"Mrs. Laveau, does the mirror have to be a certain size?" Detective Case was going to ensure he obtained the correct size of the mirror.

"No, as long as it is silver lined."

Detective Case and Detective Cole leave in their car after thanking Marie Laveau. They are headed to an antique store to look for a silver lined mirror. "Vince, we have to convince Susie Morrical to help us capture Lance and bury the evil that he is now."

"Robert, do you think she will do that?"

"I'm going to try and convince her to help us. She must know that Lance is not her husband."

"I hope you do Robert," Vince was not so sure Susie could be convinced to assist in the spell and trap her husband in the mirror. They pull into the parking lot of Antiques Plus.

Chapter 18
Lance Completes Justice, so it Seems

By SLMorrical

Warning: The author has noted that this contains the highest level of violence.
Warning: The author has noted that this contains the highest level of language.

The day after Tony Sands suicide, Tony Otto is back at work, back at his position as manager of Motorcycle City. He unlocks the doors and walks into the showroom with fear and anticipation. "This place is cursed, and I don't want to be here. I have to keep my cool and act level headed. I know Lance killed Joel, Matt, Tommy, and Tony. I guess I'm next." Tony looks around the showroom and sees the salesmen talking to each other. Tony knows he has to find Tony Sands replacement.

The day goes by monotonously and Tony Otto is grateful for a normal day. It's six o'clock and it's time to close. There is one customer left with Gary Frank. Tony waits for him to finish his sale. "Hey, Gary I need to see you before you go," Tony yells out.

Gary wondering what Tony wants yells back, "Okay boss just a minute." Gary finishing up with his customer and packing his stuff up to leave. It's now six-thirty. "What ya need, Boss."

"Gary I am promoting you to assistant manager, to take Tony Sands place," Tony said in his usual cynical tone.

"No thanks boss, I couldn't work in that office knowing someone died there," Gary's serious tone, was understandable to Tony.

"This is a promotion man, you get salary and bonuses and you can still sell and get commissions." Tony could understand Gary not wanting to be in that office because he didn't go into either Tommy's office or Tony's office. "What if I gave you a different office? Would you take the promotion then?

"Sure, I just don't want either of those offices where the two salesmen died. The one before I was hired and Tony Sands." Gary shook Tony's hand and proceeded out the door.

"Gary wait up I will walk out with you and close up." Tony didn't want to be in that showroom alone, and with good reason. Gary waited for him, they locked up and left in their cars. On his way home Tony was curious as to why he hasn't met the same fate as everyone else who gave Lance a hard time. He thought something would have happened today. Tony maybe over prepared and paranoid. While driving his cell phone rings.

Tony answers the phone with hesitation, "Hello!"

"Is this Tony Otto?"

"Yes it is, may I help you."

"It's Detective Case, I need to speak with you asap. Can you come down to the station or I can talk to you tomorrow at Motorcycle City?

"Detective Case, I'm very tired it's been a long day, and my wife is expecting me for dinner. Can we do this tomorrow at the dealership" Tony was very tired, but not from work, from worrying about when his time was coming from Lance?

"Okay, I will be there tomorrow. I have some great news I want to share with you." Detective Case was excited about getting the spell reversed, and saving Tony Otto's life. Detective case's next phone call is to Susie Morrell. He feels he can convince her to help trap the evil that is Lance at this time.

Tony arrives home and pulls the car into the garage. When he enters his home it is dark and quiet. "Where is everybody? My wife and kids should be here."
"Yeah Tony they should, but you don't want them to see you die," Lance's malevolent voice sends chills up Tony's spine.

"I knew you were going to come after me eventually," Tony's anxiety was apparent in his voice. "I'm not afraid of you Lance. I know you killed Joel, Matt, Tommy, and Tony. They didn't kill themselves or drown, or anything else. It was you."

Lance smiles an evil smile. "Maybe, I created the situation that caused them to die. Just like all of you created the situation that caused me to die."

"Lance it was just guy stuff, the ribbing and all. We didn't know you were sensitive to those things. Look, I will make sure your wife gets a pay check from you every week. I will take care of her for you," Tony was pleading for his life.

"You'll make sure my wife is financially taken care of like I would have done. I could have done that with no problem, but you didn't pay me for doing the Internet as every other Internet manager does. You also let my Internet leads be taken by the other salesmen. I did all the work. Those leads came into buy, and you did nothing to back me up. You encouraged the other salesmen to continue their treatment of me, and all because I wouldn't kiss your ass." Lance's eyes started to turn black, and his face was read.

Tony look at Lance knowing he was looking at evil. Tony feared for his life, feared his wife would not be okay financially. "Lance, how can I receive redemption from you without killing me?" "How?" Tony got done on his knees, closed his eyes and started praying. He didn't know what else to do.

Tony could hear his wife calling to him. "Tony, wake up, you're having a nightmare." He opened his eyes looks at his wife, and then looks around. He is in his bed, and Lance is not around. Tony's wife is concerned, "Are you okay? You were having a bad nightmare."

"Yeah, I'm fine. I need to get ready for work."

"Tony, are you sure your okay?

"Yes, I'm fine. Why?"

"Well, you lost your job a week ago for your treatment of Lance Morrell. He died of a stress-induced heart attack, and his wife sued the dealership and you. TJ settled out of court, but you were fired."

"What? No this is the nightmare, and I am dead." Tony looks at his wife, and suddenly it's Lance.
"No Tony you're not dead, not yet, "Lance was taunting Tony. "You just had a preview of your life if I let you live. Everyone will know you will screw over anyone that doesn't kiss your ass."

"So I either have no job and live or die? I don't think you could make either one happen or you would have done it already." Tony said testing Lance.

"I saved you for last Tony because you were at the core of things that cause my stress-induced heart attack. Yes, you will have redemption but not how you think. I'm not going to kill you. I'm going to make sure everyone knows the real you."

The phone rings, Tony answers it, and it's TJ. "Yes TJ, I understand, but how can she do that, what proof does she have? What do you mean Lance kept notes and a record of everything. No, you can't, it's bogus. Okay, bye." Tony hangs up the phone. In disgust, he looks at Lance, "Your wife is suing for your heart attack. Apparently, she has notes and things you kept. So that's it I'm ruined. I will never find another job with that on my record."

"Yes Tony, you are left with nothing. Your wife is gone, TJ called earlier and talked to her. Here's the note. You can't afford a divorce, so yes you are ruined," Lance beams an evil grin.

Tony pulls out his gun, aims it at Lance. "I am going to put you back into your grave," Tony screams. Just as he is pointing the gun, his wife comes in. Tony shoots, kills his wife. Realizing what he has done he aims the gun and shoots himself in the head.

Lance admires the chaos he caused in Tony Otto's house. "My justice is complete, everyone who caused my death, and left my wife in despair, both emotionally and financially are no longer. Now, what do I do? I need to deliver justice, I will ask Susie, who I should kill next."

Chapter 19
Susie Agrees to mirror trap Lance

By SLMorrical

Susie sits on her couch watching the news while contemplating how to put Lance back into his grave. A special report comes on the Television and reports a murder/suicide. When she hears Tony Otto's name, she makes a decision. This decision may get her murdered, and it will be Lance that executes her.

"Oh I see you are able to get knowledge of my handiwork," Lance growls.

"Oh, Lance you scared me. Why did his wife have to die?" Susie's voice trembles with fear.

"The only way to get justice on Tony was to completely destroy him. To destroy him he had to kill his wife. It was a process to get the outcome of him killing himself. I sense you disapprove." Lance scoffs at her.

"No, I was just asking. Now what Lance?" Susie is trying to find a way to get Lance to leave so she can work on his return to the grave. Suddenly there's a knock on the door. "Lance I better get this," she states as she walks towards the door.

Upon opening the door, she gives a sigh of relief. "Mrs. Morrell I don't know if you heard about Tony's Otto's death, but I need you to come to the station for some questioning." Detective Case sensed she needs some help.

"Detective Case, I was here when that happened."

"You can explain all that at the station ma'am."

"Okay, let me get my purse." Susie is thankful for Detective Case at this time. She looks at Lance in fear, as she picks up her purse. Lance just puts his finger to his lips to signal quiet. She leaves the house locks the door and follows Detective Case to his car. When she gets in and closes the door, she lets out a big sigh of relief. "Thank you, Detective, I was afraid he was going to kill me."

"He was there?"

"Yes, and I will do whatever I need to put him back in his grave."

"Okay! I have found a Voodoo Priestess that will help us. We need the spell you originally did to bring him back."

"That's back at the house, and Lance is there. If I go back and retrieve it, he will know what I am doing and will kill me for sure. That's not Lance, and I'm so sorry for starting all this."

"I will think of something to help you retrieve the spell, and keep you safe."

"How are you going to keep me, safe Detective? To bring him back I had to not only use his blood but my own. This bound him to me. I did this to have control over him to ensure his justice was done, and only the salesmen at Motorcycle City were harmed."

"Well, Tony Otto's wife was also killed, so that didn't work did it?" Detective Case yells at Susie.

"Okay, I made a very huge mistake, but I was so distraught over his death, and the fact those salesmen caused the stress-induced heart attack, I had to do something. This is also your fault."

"My fault? How is this also my fault?"

Susie justifies her actions, "If you had actually listened to me and done something when I came to the police station that day, I wouldn't have brought him back for justice."

"All right, we have to get into your house and get that spell. I will get my partner Detective Cole, and we will do a search, as in a search warrant. That should convince Lance you're not betraying him." Detective Case calls Detective Cole to meet him at Susie Morrell's house.

Detective Case and Susie Morrell arrive back at the house and wait for Detective Cole. Susie scared of Lance looks over at Detective Case. She has fear in her eyes. "Lance is here, I can feel him."

"It will be okay. Just relax. When Detective Cole arrives with the search warrant, we will proceed." Detective Case recognizes what they are walking into, and realizes Susie Morrell's life was in danger. Detective Cole arrives, and they proceed into the house.

Susie walks in the front door, and the dogs are barking. "Wait Detectives let me put my dogs outside so you can do your house search. I have nothing to hide, and I think this is ridiculous." She takes the dogs out hoping: Lance heard every word. After taking the dogs out on the way back in Lance stops her.

"What's going on Susie? Why are they here?" Lance snarled.

"They have a search warrant. What am I supposed to do?" It was very obvious to Lance that Susie was scared.

"Don't be scared babe they aren't going to find anything they can use against you," Lance spoke with confidence. Detective Case comes out of Lance's office with a piece of paper in his hands, along with Lance's journal. Lance sneers at him.

"Mrs. Morrell, you need to come back to the station, and we are confiscating these things."

"Okay, can I bring my dogs back in?" Susie pleads.

Detective Case hesitates for a moment trying to choose what he says carefully. He doesn't want to tip off Lance what is going on. "Make it quick, and you will probably need to call someone to take care of the dogs. You will be down at the station for a while. You are being charged with murder."

"What? Why? I didn't kill anyone." Susie was shocked at Detective Case statement. She brought the dogs in and called the neighbor who has watched the dogs before to come over and check on them and take them out. She left with Detective Case as Lance stayed at the house infuriated at what just occurred. Lance decides his next target is Detective Case.

Chapter 20
Trapping Lance in the Mirror

By SLMorrical

Warning: The author has noted that this contains the highest level of language.

Lance enraged about the current events picks up a vase and throws it towards the door, "He will receive redemption for what he is putting my wife through." Lance heads towards the door and disappears.

Detective Case and Detective Cole head over to Cole's Great Aunt with Susie in tow. "Is this the spell you used?" Detective Case questions Susie.

"Yes, I did use that spell on that piece a paper. I also used the spell Lance wrote in his journal. I mixed them together. I didn't even think it would work."

"Well it did work, and now we have to reverse it, and Marie Laveau will help us do that." Detective Case knew time was crucial and started to pick up speed.

"Why are you going faster? Did you see Lance following us?'

"No, I just know we need to hurry, and put Lance in the mirror."

Susie is so afraid that Lance will follow them. "Detective Case, what do we do if Lance follows us?"

"We will be safe at Marie Laveau's place. Don't worry. I am confident we can do this, and without anyone else getting hurt."

"I hope you're right."

They arrive at the home of Detective Cole's Great Aunt Marie Laveau. Susie like others thought she just drove through the Louisiana Bayou. The three of them get out of the car, head to the door. They knock on the door, and Marie Laveau opens it, she notices something or someone coming towards the two Detectives and Susie. She can feel its evil coming. "Get in here quick, he can't get past the salt in the doorway," Marie insisted.

Detective Case, Detective Cole, and Susie Morrell rush in the door. Marie closes it just in time, only to hear Lance growl, "I know what you are doing. You will all die before you trap me. I am too powerful for any of you."

"Good thing I made sure I didn't leave the spell or the journal in the car," Detective Case shivers with each word. Everyone looks at him with a sarcastic look on their faces.

Marie Laveau with urgency tells the three of them, "We need to get this done and fast. I sense he is becoming more powerful every minute we delay." She looks at Susie, "You shouldn't mess with dark magic. If we can't trap him, he will kill you."

"I know." Susie is shaking as the reality of what she did smacks her hard.

"Gather around and place all the ingredients in the circle, including the journal and the spell used to bring him back." Marie Laveau starts the ritual/spell to trap him. They start to hear a growl. Marie Laveau grabs Susie's arm, holds it over the items in the circle and cuts it making sure her blood drips on the items. Marie lets go of Susie's arm and hands her a towel to wrap the arm up.

"Why did you do that? That hurt. You didn't say anything about cutting me," Susie whines.

"There was no time, and I need your blood because he is bound to you." Marie Laveau throws the rest of the ingredients into the circle and lights a match, throws the match on top of everything in the circle. A black flame ignites, as Marie Laveau chants a voodoo incantation. Susie is suddenly knocked backward. "He is more powerful than I imagined," Marie Laveau shouts.

Detective Case runs over to Susie, and also gets knocked down."She is mine, and always will be." Lance appears in the blue flame which silhouettes his evil form. "You are not powerful enough to trap me, witch," Lance growls as his pure evil is bearing his teeth.

Marie looks directly at the evil, chants some more of the voodoo spell. Lance looks her straight in the eyes and glares trying to see her fear. Lance being preoccupied with trying to find Marie's fear, allows her time to throw the mirror in the blue flame to trap him.

Detective Case getting up continues over to Susie to help her up. There's a deep howl of pain that comes through the black flame. It's Lance fighting, trying to evade the mirror.

The last thing they all hear as the mirror flies up is Lance, "I will return. You can't kill my evil ever." Evil laughter continues as the mirror falls to the circle. Detective Cole walks over to the circle and picks up the mirror and covers it with a cloth and hands it to Susie.

"You must bury that mirror, so he can't escape," Marie Laveau enforces this to Susie. Susie takes the cloth covered mirror and carefully carries it out to Detective Case's Car.

"Do you want help burying that thing? Also, can I ask you out for coffee sometime?" Detective Case thought saying both at the same time he would get the response he wanted.

"What? Are you asking me out after all that?" Susie was beyond confused.

"Yes, I like you. You are a smart, sweet, and obviously a loyal woman. I know it is weird under the circumstances, but what the hell." Detective Case has a big smile on his face.

"I don't need help burying this, and maybe we can have coffee together in a couple of months."

Detective Case takes Susie home and drops her off. She has the mirror in her hand and places on a shelf with a couple of knick-knacks that remind her of Lance. She knows she should bury it, but still can't let go of Lance.
................
Two years later:

"Donna, Thanks for helping pack some of my stuff up." Susie hugs Donna.

"Sure no problem, I can't believe you're going to move in with that Detective Case. I think it's just strange you two even hooked up. How did you meet him again?" Donna was confused but happy for Susie. Susie never answers her friend's question. "Susie, I know it was hard for you losing Lance, but I am worried you are with this guy because you are lonely and miss Lance."

"Donna, thanks for your concern, and I still miss Lance, and no one will take his place, but I have to move on. It's been two years since he died. Okay, let's get this stuff packed."

"Okay." Donna begins wrapping the knick-knacks Susie placed to remind her of Lance, which includes the mirror he's trapped in. "Hey Susie, why is this mirror covered?"

"What mirror?" Susie realizes Donna is wrapping the mirror that Lance is trapped in. "Donna be extra careful with that mirror, please don't break it."

"Don't worry Susie, I'll be careful." Donna picks up the mirror, and it feels hot to the touch. Taking extra care to not break the mirror while it's burning her fingers, she wraps it up quickly. Donna, unknowingly brakes the lower right corner of the mirror, trying to wrap it and not burn her fingers anymore. Donna finishes wrapping it, puts it in the box and tapes the box closed. In the box, an evil foot peeks out of the broken corner.
