The topic for this contest is: Historical Flash Fiction.
Write a story based on an American Historical Figure, first or third person. Good or bad, living or dead.
Your story may be from the POV of a fictional character, but they must interact and relate to the main historical character of the story.
For instance, Joe Bloggs is an aid-de-camp to General Custer at the last stand, so, the historical accuracy of Custer and the events surrounding the last stand must figure heavily in this example...
Or your story can be based on the POV of the historical character.
The theme is up to you. No silly starting sentence, no words to include...Just wow us with descriptive narration, lean flowing dialogue and quality prose. Make every word count...
Creative approaches are welcomed. But contest voters will be asked to consider the topic when making a choice for a winner.
Minimum length 500 words. Maximum Length 1,000 words. Recommended length 500 - 1,000 words.
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool of 90.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
