Poem For A Child

Poetry Contest
Children are curious explorers, eager to learn about the world they inhabit. A popular method of delivering facts, stories, and information to them is through poems. Kids love the regular rise and fall of meter and the delicious sound of rhymes. (Don't we all?). Rhyme is required for this poetry contest.

In this contest, you are challenged to write a poem that will appeal to a child. The subject matter is open- rewrite a fairy tale or nursery rhyme or spin an enchanted piece all your own about animals, families, seasons, favorite children's activities or games, school, food, pretend worlds - you name it. Special thanks goes out to robyn corum for this contest idea and description.

The winner takes away a $100 cash prize. All writers will receive feedback for their submission.

Deadline: May 25th
