The topic for this contest is: angels, red, white, and blue, and prayer.
Write a story that somehow incorporates the topic. The story does not have to be specifically about the topic. But should clearly incorporate the topic into the story.
Creative approaches are welcomed. But contest voters will be asked to consider the topic when making a choice for a winner. The word count minimum is 1,000 words and the maximum is 2,000 words. No poetry, please. Prose only. The story must be an up-lifting story and the colors red, white, and blue must be physically present in the story, not just in dialogue. Please don't include any demons or devils in your story.
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 24.00 member dollars. There are 12 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 72.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
