Conversation with the Past

Write a short one act script (500-1,000 words) where a character converses with at least one person from the past about how a current event is like something that occurred in the past. For example, how do current riots compare to past riots? Or, how is this pandemic different from the past?

This can be for stage or video. This must include dialogue between at least two characters, living or imagined. They can be meeting in person, by video or even in dreams or hallucinations. Adding real historical facts is greatly encouraged.

The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 30.00 member dollars. There are 12 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 90.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.

Deadline: Contest is closed. Deadline was Tuesday, September 15, 2020.
