Pun-Forgivable, That's What You Are

Poetry Contest
Another Oh-Pun contest! Write a poem of at least four lines in length, no more than 40, using puns related to people's jobs or hobbies, or as an alternative theme, a poem dedicated to someone in high regard.

Example:
Anita ran a kitty shelter for stray pussycats,
so dedicated to her "claws" but keeping budget tight.
She took in all donations, since this project was her "pet."
She wrote a perfect motto: "Kitties "Paws" Here Every Night."

(Puns in quotation marks for emphasis, not required: claws as pun for word cause, pet having two meanings, paws as pun for word pause).

The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 32.00 member dollars. There are 10 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 72.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.

Deadline: Contest is closed. Deadline was Monday, August 3, 2020.
