A Phoneme Challenge
The topic for this contest is phonemes. There are 44 in the English language.
Phonemes are any of the perceptually distinct units of sound in a specified language that distinguishes one word from another, for example p, b, d, and t in the English words pad, pat, bad, and bat. No poetry please. The story does not need to rhyme, but it may if the writer chooses.
Creative approaches are welcomed. But contest voters will be asked to consider the topic when making a choice for a winner.
Recommended length 100-130 words.
The contest winner will win the full prize pool. This is a winner take all contest. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
