Masterpiece Remastered

Poetry Contest
Take a famous and 'classic' poem of no less than ten lines, and no more than twenty. The challenge is to re-write the piece in the same style (if you choose a sonnet you must write a sonnet etc) using the same words to end the lines - exactly and only.
Try to arrive at a different place: if you choose a love poem, try not to write a love poem. The original need not rhyme, but it should be readily recognized (if not the title, then the poet). You MUST quote the original in your notes.

NO PICTURES - VIDEOS - GIFS or MUSIC: JUST WORDS

By way of an example, this is Ozymandias by Shelley ;

I met a traveller from an antique land,
Who said "Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read,
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed;
And on the pedestal, these words appear:
My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings;
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay decay,
Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away,

and here, I have re-written it using the same end words;

In monochrome, the moon relieves the land;
its meagre hook of bone, as cold as stone,
migrates, and wayward winds disturb the sand.

The brutal shadows hide his bitter frown,
his laughter-lines redrawn by harsh command
as orders are received, unsealed and read.
The battle plan dictates, demands these things;
a sacrifice: The War Gods must be fed.

Though hope he might, yet no one will appear;
no change of mind from swift-recanting kings,
no stay to halt this action of despair.
He sends the troops (condemned to slow decay,
for desert suns will burn their brave bones bare),
to face a certain death, then turns away.

Easy-peasy, lemon squeezy...
(You are NOT required to italicize the end words.)
I will NOT be entering...
