The Other Side
There are two sides to every story. Take your favorite fairytale and rewrite it from the villain's point of view. Examples: Your "hero" might be the witch in Hansel and Gretel, the wolf in Little Red Riding Hood, the stepmother or one of the stepsisters in Cinderella.
Any hero is acceptable, as long as he or she is a villain in a traditional fairytale such as something from the Brothers Grimm, Mother Goose, or Hans Christian Anderson.
Word limits - 700 word minimum. NO maximum.
PROSE FICTION ONLY. NO POETRY.
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 24.00 member dollars. There are 12 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 72.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
