A 10 Line poem

The Wise and The Noble

by tempeste

Wise one, what does the latest tam-tam say?
That mankind again has lost its way
that nations are at war 
and there is much gore.
Why do they choose the path of destruction 
rather than strive to better the human condition?
I don’t know my noble friend 
but sadly mankind will meet an ugly end
cause hearts filled with hate
can only offer a grim fate.
