This is a poetry contest. Write a submission based on the above prompt. Here is an example of a personification of Winter.

(free-verse) The Tortured Artist.

A tortured artist Winter is.

Isolated in his
frozen madness.

In fits of God-inspired
he paints
his masterpiece
of alabaster death
o'er the canvas
of nature.

Forever fixated
in eccentricity,

his pallid fingers
white-wash scenes
with crystalline snow

to cover
each line and curve
with his frost-colored

by his own tragic

he creates
such silvery
as to bleach
the blushing beauty
of spring.

Each storm -
his frustrated breath
erases his artwork
and over

birthing new
and wondrous
Winter sculptures -
