Become the Animal!
Poetry Contest
The prompt for this contest is simply to "become the animal". You are required to write a poem from the perspective of an animal; the type of animal is up to you! How do they act? What kind of thoughts go through their head?
Be creative, and be sure to consider how many different kinds of animals there are (i.e. Predators, preys, herbivores, carnivores, land, sea, air, etc.) There are many options to choose from! You can make it dark, light, funny, serious... anything!
Be aware of these rules when writing your poem:
- It must have a rhyme scheme
- The maximum limit of lines is 40
- You should attach a picture of the animal you are writing about
