write a haiku about any subject
- 3 lines in a short/long/short count in 17 syllables or less
- two grammatic-interconnected lines of concrete imagery; one fragment (the satori) line; all in present tense
- a kigo (seasonal reference)
- no punctuation and capitalisation for proper names only
- haiku do not have titles. but for this contest, the posted title must be: first line of poem

....rhyme (at all)
....author's notes
....personification
....pictures/artwork/music/readings/etc. the haiku must stand alone.
....gerunds (a verb functioning as a noun with an -ing ending)
