Writers were required to select a fairytale, fable, bible story, folktale, children's story, etc that they are especially fond of and include it only for comparison purposes by us viewers (NO copy write infringement intended). Writers were then required to rewrite that story. The story will be similar yet different. The characters will have changed. The plot/story itself will be different yet...For example, if the original story started with ONCE UPON A TIME IN A LAND OF FAIRIES AND PRINCESSES, the writer could have changed it to read ONCE UPON A TIME ON A PLANT OF CREATURES THAT HAVE NO LEGS OR ARMS BUT MANY EYES.....Or if the story is about "Goldilocks and the Three Bears," the writer could have changed it to THE KOI AND THE THREE GOLDFISH. There are requirements for length. The minimum length for the original story, as well as the rewrite, is 600 words for each (not together). Maximum Length is 1200 words for the original story and 1200 words for the rewrite.
