The Author has:
Branded cattle, worked for a news agency, worked for the company that made the resistors that were in the capsule that landed on the moon, was a singer and guitar player in a long-haired rock'n'roll band for years'n'years, loaded heavy metal steel I-beams and purlins on a paint-line, done assembly line work in a plant that made car-seats, wired dashboards for cement trucks, done precision tool and die grinding, written CNC programs for lathes and mills and machining centers. Designed hydraulic cylinders for a while. Totally self-taught (no computer science degree HERE) written computer networking software, CAD-CAM/CNC interactive programs, PC database/Mainframe MRP systems. Was at one time the Personal Systems Administrator for a major corporation and used to be one of those big-shots you see in airports with the fancy clothes and briefcase, flying coast-to-coast. (Corporate raiders - was makin' too much money: 20 years and it was SEEYA!)
Was a cook for one of those family resterant chains for a while and cooked for the jail too.
Managed a motel for a few months but didn't like it - ironically because it was so LONELY.
Was painting houses and doing handy-man work until the heart attack. Don't know what's next, you'll know when I do.
