Vicki Easterly: I have always loved words, numbers not so much. Upon graduation from high school, my English teacher, Miss Vivien C. Moore (her story will be submitted later) presented me with a book titled Apples of Gold, with the inscription, "To Vicki, as most creative." My college instructor urged me to major in literature, but where was the money in that? Then I got married and had two sons. Life and deaths and broken hearts and boring jobs and summer vacations took over. Next time I looked up, I was retired and the grandmother of Sophie and Makayla. So now I live contentedly alone, and I have just started to write again. It has been a long time, and there are stories, essays and poems waiting to spill out. I hope you like them. |

You'll find this an odd coincidence, but I also have a copy of Apples of Gold. I saw it in a second-hand book shop and thought it was delightful, so I bought it. It was published MCMLXII (1962) by C.R.Gibson Co., compiled by Jo Petty. Same book as yours? - | ||
