Writers are born, crushed and formed in life's crucible. Those brave enough to share the scars pick up a pen and begin.

As a former editor and publisher of a monthly newspaper, I am a journalist by trade, but a poet at heart. I am a picky reader and an honest critic. Most of us have had life smack us in the face, tickle us until we are crying laughing, and choked our throats with deep emotion. Those are the stories I strive to write and the stories I prefer to read. I make you a promise to post my most honestly written stories, and if I fail to live up to my own standards, I expect you to tell me where they were lacking -where I failed to take you into the place and time I have attempted to create. And I promise to be your best cheerleader by telling you how you moved me or left me lacking.

I have a BA in English writing; I am a published journalist, poet and have been a lobbyist for a major medical non-profit. I began writing at age 11 and have never stopped. I am working on a memoir and an autobiography.

Thank you for being my world-wide writing group!

A book by our feinerthoughts

The King's Crown Is Upside Down, by Fanstory's Robin Feiner, is a children's picture book for ages 7 and up.

Delightfully told in rhyming verse, this story features a young hero (Sophie) who encourages a self-conscious king to show himself even though he is different. Sensitive and silly, this vibrantly illustrated tale will show readers that when we embrace diversity and difference, we open up a world of friendship and possibilities.

Order this title in paperback for the child in your life at Amazon.com for only $10.50.

A book by our own barbara.wilkey.

Paige Swanson inherits her aunt's mansion and moves to Savannah, Georgia. There she meets Cash Wilkins, the architect hired to restore the home to its full glory, and Bradley, the resident ghost - a Confederate soldier killed in the Battle of Chickamauga.

Locals believe Civil War treasure's hidden in the mansion. Paige's new home becomes a target for thieves. Both Cash and Bradley vie to protect her. Who will succeed? Will Paige find an even greater treasure; romance with Cash?

This novel weaves a tale of romance, history, and ghostly mystery that keeps readers enthralled from the first page to the last. Buy It On Amazon
