lancellot: Welcome to the team. I like your courage in writing, what most are afraid to. We need more of that.

WritingsByG: Thank you, my friend. As you know a writer often writes what other are afraid to write. As Thoreau said, Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them. If you go to the cemetery and really listen the sound is deafening.

WritingsByG: Just spent the past 3 days in the VA Hospital for a mini-stroke. Almost had a major stroke when they told me they didn't have a WIFI that worked properly. Billions for wars and not a dime for WIFI so vets can stay in touch with their families. Sad.

WritingsByG: Wow, two months I've been gone. Been busy helping my bro get over his surgery. Now we're busy packing and selling things off to facilitate our move to Cyprus. Posted a story on here Called Cinnamon Girl inspired by Neil Young's song. Found some other song titles that have inspired me.
One man's take on life told thru humorous short stories from his childhood on into his mid-50's; from feeling like an outcast in school to being an adult. His intent: hope. Hope in that you shall see, no matter how rough life can seem -and is- at times, that you may be able to enjoy it. Each story will bring a laugh, a smile, a tear, a lesson.
The 23rd Annual Book Awards said:
"We Really Need To Laugh" shares “memories which will resonate with many readers. Overall a creative presentation of the author’s life given in a rather sing-song poetic story telling style; a pleasant read"
