MARGOLYN: I read the book George Washington, Glenn Beck suggested it last year on his program. I was disappointed to see that when the British were getting ready to attack the area where George Washington's farm was, one of George's men was sent to the British and asked that they not attack or destroy Mt. Vernon. They did not attack or touch the place but every other farm around was looted and burned to the ground. Now, I don't feel so warm and fuzzy about George anymore... |
