This seven-word poem, A Farmer's Hands, uses seven words and reminds us of the daily battle of man and soil to keep the world fed, clothed, and medicated.

This is excellent. Congratulations on winning the contest. It is hard to say something significant in such a short space, but you did. Good job. Marilyn

I can see why you won the contest. Every word is packed with meaning. No one displays faith more than the farmer who plants the soil, works hard, and is at the mercy of nature's whims. Excellent verse!

Thanks so much, Friend!
Both sets of my grandparents were farmers, and the love of the land has long been instilled in me.
The hands in the artwork remind me of my both of my grandfathers' hands...always in the soil...always hoping that everything would grow and flourish!
Thank you again!

Congratulations on winning the Seven words or less poetry prompt, Diane.
Not only did you write a poem which had something significant to say in very few words, you also managed to include rhyme as well.
Outstanding!

Thank you so much for your excellent rating and complimentary review.
It was a fun write: usually I am far too long-winded!

Hello Author: I wouldn't normally give such a short piece a six-star rating. However, this one resonated with me so much because I was born on a farm and have lived on a farm all my life.
You have described so elegantly with just a handful of words how farmers live their lives. You got my vote. I wish you good luck in the contest...Bill

A very true statement in seven words. A farmer toils endlessly to bring forth the food we depend on. Your thought is well stated. Best of luck in the contest. Evi
