Hi Nassus. I love the beautiful photo with your dog in your profile as well as the striking image used to illustrate your poem. Life does have its twists and turns and sometimes leaves us wanting for clarification. We just have to do our best every day to make it the best we can. I enjoyed reading this. Marilyn

Your poem speaks much like my latest one, which you reviewed. Sometimes it seems God does not choose to guide us when we need it, either through faith or experience. Excellent free verse.

You've asked a lot of questions here and in doing so, prompted a lot of thought from this reviewer. Life no longer there, is the line that got me the most. I like the image that goes with the poem. It brings to mind someone thinking about the questions you've posed here. Life no longer here. Yup, I need to think on that a little more.

We should not have a hidden agenda unless we plan a pleasant surprise for someone. Like a surprise birthday party. We also should not challenge the truth. Well written. "Vague messages while exposing contradictions". That is good Thank you for sharing

All questions that I ever had about life portrayed perfectly through this piece. Whether we get the final answer or not, these kind of questions continue to pop out anytime in our life.

Oh my Duchess, you have showered this humble author with another six stars. Words would not be enough to thank you for appreciating my work, titled "When, Why, What". Sorry for the delay in my reply. Very well written and well done. I find this thought-provoking and very sad. I hope that you see hope in all this and this is not how you feel. I understand the questions in the poem. Many we think about when life looks bad. But, remember, there is a flip side! Sometimes we just can't see it when we're going through so much. God Bless! - Cathy

Your "musings" are intriguing, and you're right (thanks for the author notes) that the very questions you posed so poetically, continue to haunt us. This piece seems to build in intensity as it goes, and I particularly liked the last line. The picture suits your verbalization perfectly, as I can see the woman looking out with her dog, into the foggy universe! Well done!

I couldn't thinking of the quote, "When God doesn't seem to be around, guess whose moved?" We've drifted so far from God, saying we can take care of ourselves. We were always meant to be dependant, independence is an illusion, brought on by pride. Beautifully written my friend, and a sober reminder where we sit. Well done, great write, blessings, Roy
