I almost missed this post, probably because it's for a blind contest--otherwise the eye-catching artwork and cross shape should have seized my attention. Your succinct observation is so true, and I am amazed you could find mono-rhyme to intensify the 1-9-1 form. This entry should be a surefire winner! -Joan

This is a solid 1-9-1 poem and entry for the contest.
even managed to get three rhymes in there and the word "life."
I like the single line approach, it reads smoothly.
