This one-six-one poem, The Kiss, explains, in its eight-syllable format, the power of that first osculation with a person of considerable interest. It was Yvonne.

A very well-written 1-6-1 poem. We all can relate to this little poem. Our first kiss is a memory we for sure cannot forget, even if we don't have anymore contact with our first kisser.

Ah, who could ever forget their first kiss, Debbie?
Lisa Davis, 1968, in the wooded area behind our housing development. She was nine, I was eight.
See what I mean?
I think this is a good entry for the 1-6-1 poetry prompt.
Very well done.
Good luck to you with the voting.

That first exploration in the adult kiss ... Seventh grade for me, I thought boys had cooties up until about the end of fifth grade lol. I liked the simplicity and beauty of this one. Good luck. xoxo Kiwi

Debbie, This is a very well written 1-6-1 poem you have penned for the prompt. You used very good wording and very good imagery with the art work. I remember mine was when I was in first grade of all things! lol I was so scared when I got home I told my mom a boy kissed me and I thought I was pregnant! She laughed so hard after comforting me. I was so upset with that silly guy! Best wishes with the prompt! love, Teri

You knew about being pregnant in first grade? I am shocked, Teri. Thanks for the review.

Yes, first kisses are there in your heart forever. Good or bad it's always the one that keeps coming back. Funny word . . . reminisce. It just LOOKS strange. Good job!
