This is a nicely written poem that relates to the many thinks we don't like about Christmas sometimes and the need to skip it. Your words flow smoothly and certainly sounds like they could be set to music.

Thanks for your nice review. Yep, I like Christmas at home for lots of reasons, but kinfolk - both hers and mine - can be downers on my Christmas spirit. Never thought about it that much until this contest came along and gave me the ideas to put into rhyme. Happy New Year!

Country is about all I know, so that must be where I was headed with this. It just came to me one afternoon and it fell together. Full disclosure: m favorite Christmas Carol is "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer". Glad you enjoyed it!

Very well-written song lyrics about the Christmas party with the family we usally are reluctant to go to. It is always the same and ends up with a fight and some screaming.
