I really enjoyed this take on the 12 days of Christmas Barbara. It obviously has a real Texas feel about it I'm from Australia so if I wrote it I would have reference to kangaroos , koalas, and emus as my animals lol Thanks for sharing

Of course you are a poet - just don't know it! I loved your 12 days of Christmas. We got a real close look at all the critters under the Yucca Plant! A very clever take on the real poem, most enjoyable a bird's eye view of where you live and survive those creepy critters. Happy Christmas from Australia! XXK.

Happy Christmas Barbara, from Queensland, Australia. Very hot today, we are in summer here and supposed to be 33C. All cold food for Christmas XXX love, Kay.

This speaks vividly and in faith how each of twelve days for celebration of Christmas the poet expresses love and enchantment to all creatures and enjoys; I like. DR ALCREATOR

Great Texan take on this old song. The only part that puzzles me is the "bottle nose dolphins. " I think of Florida not Texas. But all the other animals sounded familiar from my six years there. Blessings on your Christmas celebrations!

Bottle nose dolphins are in the Gulf of Mexico. We took a sight seeing boat and saw 7 just playing the the waves the boat made. It was great. Thank you for the kind review..

Hi Barbara, I truly enjoyed this Texas take on the Partridge in a Pear Tree. Don't be so hard on yourself. This is a fun poem and I love the lighted cactus! Our snow has melted here, so it may be the second year in a row of having a green Christmas. Merry Christmas!

I noted that a lot of these animals would be native to the western reaches of the US, but still, they're and excellently arrayed, and very cleverly arranged. You are a poet Barbara, whatever you say. So well done, merry Christmas a nd a happy, healthy, prosperous to you and family, plus doggies, cats etc, (and an armadillo in a yucks tree. Well done, blessings, Roy
