The Jewish religion is a very strong belief system from which Christians and Muslims created their belief system. This is well written and is very informative.

I am charmed by this Cinderella chapter. The on-again-off-again developing relationship between Anderson and Shana has a lot of twists and turns. Yes, it is about time Philip or someone spoke the truth to Anderson: "You're in love with Shana, and her returned love is the one thing your money can't buy. She's not impressed with your money." And I agree with Philip again: "Under the circumstances, do you think that's wise?" Philip serves as the conscience to your novel. He is the whispering angel on Anderson's shoulder.

The biggest roadblock, even bigger than Anderson's money, is Shana's Jewish faith, leading to this eloquent speech: To be born a Jew today is not an accident of birth but the total of over thousands of years of ancestral self-sacrifice, who at times gave their very lives for their beliefs. Greeks, Romans, Crusaders, Nazis and Communists have tried to obliterate Jewish faith but failed.

Yes!

The closing line, "You'd better put on your safety belt," reminded me of Bette Davis in All About Eve, "Fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpy night." I anticipate something thrilling will happen in the next chapter. I will wait and see.

Thank you for sharing and entertaining.

I enjoyed this chapter as Drew now faces "the elephant in the room" as Philip calls it.
The trip to Peoria should help them work our the differences of being Jewish and Gentile.
Looking forward to the next part.

Good morning, Barbara

I enjoyed the read. Excellent continuation. I wonder how the building tension between Anderson and Phillip regarding Shana will impact their friendship? The research regarding Tay-Sachs disease and the Jewish culture were spot on.

Take care and stay safe,

Ray

Interesting read, I like the facts you weaved into the story. You can tell you've done solid research. I like how the woman is so connected to her faith and her beliefs. It sets the story up for some solid internal conflict, which is the best kind.

Job well done.

In this chapter of the fiction in continuation, Jewish tradition is well explored and retained, to everyone's surprise, now Shana is prepared to leave the penthouse; I like. DR ALCREATOR

Shana took a deep breath. "Jewish history spans over thirty-three- hundred years. To be born a Jew today is not an accident of birth but the total of over thousands of years of ancestral self-sacrifice, who at times gave their very lives for their beliefs. Greeks, Romans, Crusaders, Nazis and Communists have tried to obliterate Jewish faith but failed. The Jewish spirit survived and clung to its traditions despite all odds." This really hit me hard, as it is absolutely true. My Jewish father (so I am not a true Jew) is really someone that everyone in the community looks up to, just like his very Jewish father Maurice before him. He was the wisest man and he passed that wisdom on to my father, and yes, to me, I adore your writes Barbara, I may not be a 'true Jew' but I love reading you write about the faith. Well done as always love and best wishes Meia xx

Hi, Barb

= Dropped in to check on things. I've been offline, and will be for a while yet. But, I saw your chapter and wanted to keep up.
= I'm sure you have something interesting ahead for Shana/Anderson. Looking forward to it.
= Enjoyed the info about the Jewish faith in comparison to the Christian faith. Good job.
= I'll be back soon.

Cheers ... J

Hi Barbara, another good chapter, but I fail to see the problem with her falling in love with Anderson. The Jewish line can only be passed down by the woman, so any children would be Jewish. I do like the story. All the best. Ulla:)))

I think Shana is worried about family issues. Her father would NOT be happy. Thank you for the kind review.
