Excellent. Such a fine entry into the contest. Original and humorous. Many kids do have imaginary friends and you have carried the concept to the limit in this unique dribble. Well described and illustrated. Marilyn

I don't think I ever observed the subtle ways a child change while growing. As a mother, this is easy, assuming that you are a mother. They're usually the ones to notice the small things.

Children are deprived of their creativity by well meaning adults. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very interested read. There is good imagery.

Good morning, Maria: This is a great Dribble Flash Fiction contest entry. It is a winning piece. I love it that you have written from the voice of the Imaginary friend and I love the ending. It is a very wise ending. I love it and I hope you do very well in this contest. Much love...

Thanks for reading, Tier. If you think it's great, why did you give me only a four. It doesn't matter, I'm just wondering...
reply by Tier V. King on 08-Dec-2017
Ohhhhh my goodness Maria. You know I never give fours not on purpose. The stupid computer does that sometimes with out me even realizing it. I click on five and then I see that it clicked four instead. I SWEAR TO YOU THAT WAS NOT MY INTENTION. I would never do that on purpose. If I want to give a four I just would not review it. That was a computer error, please believe me. I will go back to fix it. Im sorry but it was not intentional. You have always supported me and I totally support you.

Don?t worry, Tier. The same thing happened to me once.
reply by Tier V. King on 09-Dec-2017
Oh, I changed it to the 5 stars. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I hate when this hapopens because I hate when someone gives me 4 stars so I always ask them if they intended to do it and why. (hahaha) This is why I would never give fours star or less because I don't like them myself. I only give 5 or 6 stars or I won't review. Much love. Please always bring this to my attention. Remember I work over night so sometimes I forget to make sure that the computer didn't jump to the four instead of the five. I saw it do this a few times before.

It's funny how young children can have imaginary friends. It must be a security blanket to them. Do you remember the movie Drop dead Fred? lol Thanks for sharing Helen's imaginary friend.

Nice writing. Short, as needs be, punchy and appealingly contrite! For the speaker of course! You should do well in your chosen competition. Good luck!

A very well-written dribble flash fiction. We all seem to have an imaginary friend in our lives until we realize they cannot be real and we seem to forget all about our friend who was like our shadow.
