Though I rarely give six stars for the tiny poems, I thought this deserved it for two reasons: You have encapsulated a great truth with which most readers would readily agree, and you have stated it in beautiful and concise language. A great little poem and certainly deserving of its prize. Congratulations DD! I loved this 5-7-5 from beginning to end. ;p

A very well-written 5-7-5 poem. As a newborn everyone wants to hold us and give us love. As we grow and age over time people seem to forget we still need love and attention.

Excellent use of the 5-7-5 form here. A simple statement over the first two lines is expanded in the third that also gives the reason for the wish expressed earlier. Poetically expressed, this works very well.
