Though the Pharisees were rivals of the Sadducees, they managed to set aside their differences on one occasion at the trial of Christ. It was at this point that the Sadducees and Pharisees united to put Christ to death. ... This just goes to show ya that despite our diverse differences we can all unite together for a common cause we adamantly believe in.
I'm joking, of course.
This must've taken quite awhile to not only write but put together as well, Lorraine.
While you're showing your loquaciousness, it basically boils down to this.
Jesus died on the cross at Calgary so that we might have everlasting life.
He returned as a babe wrapped in swaddling clothes to Mary and Joseph of Nazareth.
He was considered a rabble rouser by the Jewish Sadducees and Pharisees who conspired together to have him crucified.
And last, but certainly not least, He is the reason we celebrate Christmas in the first place.
Well done.

John 3:16-17 Defines God's love and Jesus loyalty to His Father's desires. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very interesting read.

Very good sermon done in poetry. Unusual, but it go the point across. Yes, to sum it up, He said "its finished" That alone tells the reason for the season. Thanks for lifting up our Lord. .

What a lovely poem, and just right for Christmas which was the beginning of His life and the beginning of ours really. Your author's notes were excellent as well. I do enjoy reading them as they are like the prologue at the end of a story, it finishes your lovely poem well. Well done! :) sandra x

Thanks so much for the great Christmas meditation and for the detailed notes on the Sadducees and Pharisees.

One suggestion:
"fits one only head" (perhaps it would be more natural as "fits only one head")

Well written, maybe a bit repetitive but the message is well thought out and very clear to any who would take the time to read it. Info at end is clear and concise.

Both the Pharisees and the Sadducees earned numerous rebukes from Jesus. Perhaps the best lesson we can learn from the Pharisees and Sadducees is to not be like them. Unlike the Sadducees, we are to believe everything the Bible says, including the miraculous and the afterlife.' Our R.E teacher had a great way of making us remember the name of the Saducees- because they were sad...you see? Because they turned away from Jesus as did the Pharisees. A wonderful poem with excellent and superior notes. Kindest regards Meia xx

Nicely done and as the old preacher once said 'sorry for the length of the sermon but once I get started I'm to lazy to stop' LOL. You make many wonderful points that folks often forget as they hurry through their self-absorbed and busy lives. I especially liked your comparisons of true agape versus the other types of love we experience. Nicely done and thank you very much for sharing it.
