Hi there,

Well, times are always changing, although war has been an ever-present thing since almost the dawn of time. I think we're all just more aware of it these days and have access to news from so many places we never had in the past.

The world has become a much smaller place, but a colder more unfriendly one at the same time - bizarre.

this is a good piece for the competition.

Few things I noticed as I read-

wash-board abs - washboard abs.

in a miserable existent - existence.

Gay is two people walking hand-in hand forward in this life - not sure about this definition of gay...

a word that has lost it taste - lost its taste.

I don't have to walk to far to call - too far.

Thank you! Where where you in my life. I looked to find my mistakes, but my eyes saw only what i saw. I don't really desire praise I want corrections for my errors. That is how I learn.

I'm dating myself here, but I remember the sixties and seventies very well. It was a different life back then, almost a different world. Sometimes I think we were better off without all the technology. Good luck in the contest.

Times have changed and it's hard to keep up when we've been used to a different pace, a different mindset and altogether different means of communication, but people are just the same, have the same feelings of love and struggles in life, we just see it played out on the Internet now! A poignant write and I enjoyed your interpretations, love Dolly x

Thank you Dolly. People are the same and war was always knocking at the door, but my generation looked for peace even when most of us were at war.

Being gay was being happy, and silly was the only way to be. Love was living a life and eating your treats. Sharing and caring walked hand-in-hand. There were no colour barriers, no wall to distance ourselves from our friends. We were one, we were united, and peace was a word that rang true in those days.' my mother tells me off those days...She used to say she was 'feeling gay' and no-one batted an eyelid. I wish in many ways I had experienced them. I loved your write it started off so sweet and then became so truthful and I thought it a wonderful entry, kindest regards and good luck in the competition Meia x

Thank you, Meia. I saw that it was ending today and thought "why not?" Give your mom the peace sign for me. :)
