Drink the friendly flies.
Hardly a good slogan for a soft drink company, wouldn't you agree?
United Airlines uses "Fly the Friendly Skies".
I suppose this is close enough.

Yeah....but!!! Ha ha. A very cute 5-7-5 entry for this contest!! That's happened with my coffee...I pour it out and start over....regardless of how friendly he looks, ha ha. Blessings...

Hello Mystery Writer. I don't think for a second this piece of writing needs any warning at all! A friendly fly in a drink, well in Texas where I grew up those Texans would have lifted the fly out branded it and sent it on its way! Good luck in your contest. xoxo Kiwi

well, I'm IN Texas, and I would just pour him down the drain and start over. Flies are not on my diet. :) thanks for the good wishes!

A very well-written humorous 5-7-5 poem. The alcohol will sterilize the fly so keep on drinking after the fly is taken out. Alcohol is far too expensive to be wasted because of a fly that doesn't know where to land.
