I know I'm a bit late reading, but I'm glad I did Tony. It sounds a complicated form when reading the notes, but reading the poem it all flows really smooth and is a good fun read.
cheers,
valda

Glad you enjoyed this little bit of nonsense in reply to closetpoetjester's poem! Best wishes, Tony

I have never tried the Ampeletum and admired your interpretation. I have also always like the expression for a group of crows! I enjoyed your rhymes and repeats plus reference to Van Gogh. Cheers- Joan

Very creative and quite humorous incident related in this Ampelletum poem. Great visual imagery throughout. Love how you contemplate to murder a crow. Well it is understandable. Nice use of the Van Gogh story.

Hi Tom. I'm afraid that I haven't had much time for FS recently because of various family commitments - hence the delayed response. Thank you so much for your review and kind words. Wishing you a very happy Christmas. All the best, Tony

Great turn of phrase and command of language. A "murder" of crows is elegantly played upon. I think all of us agree that crows are the thugs of the bird world and deserve the business end of a farkin' shot gun.

Well one outstanding response deserves another LOL although I think I possibly farked the rhyme scheme haha
---------
Well stone the farkin crow
Seems Jester's been one upped
Your Ampel wit and rhyme
Means laughter will erupt
And yes he is corupt
That pesky crow I mean
Your plans to keep your ear
He planned to intervene
You've gotta love the crow
He sticks it to the man
His farkin all the time
And just because he can
Well stone the farkin crow
You surely should have ducked
and now you've lost your ear
Your sense of balance fucked!
You are SUCH a talent Tony and I am very honoured you chose to respond in Ampeletum with the equivalent if not even BETTER to these vicious but quite adorable creatures haha
I hadn't even thought of the using the "fark" like that and I also loved the way you incorporated the "murder" theme although I now realise I did mention "you'll be dead" haha so maybe subconcsiously I picked up on it LMAO
You rhyme divinely and have prompted a response to a response to a potential crime scene haha
Well done and bravo!
I DO love this short punchy form...sixer all farkin day!
Sorry about your ear. At least you have a spare! LOL
Hugs P

Loved your poem in response and thanks for the sixer! I've scarcely looked at FS in the last couple of months. Other priorities! However, will probably be back again before too much longer - if for no other reason than to enjoy your verse! All the best for 2018 and beyond. Tony

Hi, Tom;
Thank you for sharing your ampeletum poetry with us. I especially liked the thought of having to get out a shotgun to shoot the bird.
Well done,
~patty~

Now, this one I did like - don't think you needed a warning on language. I hate crows with a vengeance. They kill other birds, take the eggs out of nests and spend time going through our garbage. Thanks for sharing something different!

I've always been fascinated by that group name a "murder" of crows. I also like a clowder of cats. Who choses those? I liked your poem. Humorous and well crafted. Thank you for sharing your work.

I really enjoyed your poem. It showed a serious side mixed with a hint of humor. My daughters moving house and I couldn't help notice the amount of crows in her area. They are really annoying. Good job on this.

A very well-written poem and seemingly fun format to play with. Crows can be vicious attackers when we get in their way. They like anything that is shiny and will try to steal it.
