Good morning, my friend. it's great to you that you have posted again. November is here and yes it does bring all that you have described above. We all have our views of November as each month brings us closer to a new season and a new year. November is the closest to the end of the fall season and follows December to the end of the year. This is all so bittersweet.

There is so much that I love about your poem. It is full of imagery and brilliant description. Below are some of my favorite lines. MARVELOUS!

Shining and brilliant with glorious stars
Pointing out the paths between the naked trees
Sleeping in the cold of the new fallen snow.

Buries and transforms these half remembered fields
Dreamt in a springtime of flowers,
Here where the leaves and snow sparkle in the starlight,

The scattered memories of days
In the faint, faded, fallen leaves,
The pieces of skies.

Pieces of dreams.

Thank you for the excellent review and for all your wonderful comments supporting this little poem. Glad you enjoyed it. I tried to capture that effect of the leaves falling, into the new snow, and a time of transformation and transfiguration estory

Beautiful poem. The infusion of nature here supplements it's vivid imagery. I felt there were extra words here that, if not used, would had worked anyway. However, overall, a very well thought out poem.

This speaks about November's light when the colours go change but eternal sky remains the same to look or appear with the shining and glorious stars; opens memories, dreams in visions; I liked.

Estory,

This poem captures the essence of November and all its colors The imagery is just stunning, painting the scenery of a the transition from autumn to winter, especially in this stanza:

November's light fades from yellow to brown to grey
Yet the eternal sky above still remains,
Clear, even in the early coming night,
Shining and brilliant with glorious stars
Pointing out the paths between the naked trees
Sleeping in the cold of the new fallen snow

Also, I like your usage of metaphors to convey your message.

This is a beautifully written free verse.

Exquisite imagery, tone and tenor. I particularly like the closing half of the poem - so eloquent to read aloud - elegant in delivery and voicing:

The new fallen snow,
White, otherworldly, deep in its purity,
Buries and transforms these half remembered fields
Dreamt in a springtime of flowers,
Here where the leaves and snow sparkle in the starlight,

The scattered memories of days
In the faint, faded, fallen leaves,
The pieces of skies.

Pieces of dreams.

Love the smattering of alliteration (etc) as well and I enjoyed reading this aloud, especially the above.

BRAVO.

Warmly, rd

You write so beautifully. November is my birthday month. Pretty much the worst one to have it's drab and freezing. But you paint a beautiful picture here, well done!x love Meia
