Wow, this is quite a write, Dip I loved it, I love this phrase: "I'm drowning in an angry I'm swimming here with Neptune's daughter" A terrific poem, with an awesome picture of the waves. ~Kerry

She is definitely a fickle mistress, the old sea, Dipster. A rather jealous one too, demanding much of our attention as well as our time once she has us hooked and falling in love with her.
I love how you've personified the ocean, waves, and everything she entails.

This is a really good metaphor
Your passion for the ocean comes through but what is really exceptional are those beginning lines that made me almost gasp for breath. Thank you for sharing your work.

I love the talk of sirens, Davy Jones, waves and swirls. Ever since I watched a movie on surfing, I was hooked on the speech of the water.

That's what I love about the ocean. She is a lady, not always an agreeable one, ha ha. Ever-changing, guaranteed to never bore, and she can never be owned. Beautiful Mr. Dip, blessings....

This is lovely. Comparing the sea to an angry woman. A metaphor. You should do more of this.

I love any body of water. Even though I can't swim, I'm not afraid to get in.

This is a new idea from you; not the sea, we have had that many times from your pen but the sea as a metaphor life and love. This worked really well I thought. It is an idea I think you should develop more deeply in the future.
