This is a fantastic Halloween poem, my friend. I love how you did as a spin-off of
"Twas the Night before Christmas." You did an outstanding job!
Good luck to you. ~Kerry

Excellent entry for Halloween, Lorraine. The artwork is perfect. You've adhered to the cadence of the famed poem and told a delightfully skeery poem for the night.

Best wishes to you in the contest.

Gloria

Very very good and very cleverly written poem, a great story with good rhyme and a piece well worthy of any contest.
Thought you did a great job here, well done.

I loved this! Your version worked so well. The rhyme and rhythm spot on. I thought it was quite cute that a skeleton would give a female skeleton a rose, perhaps he should have gone down and congratulated them instead of being scared to death. lol. Well done, I think this is going to be a very strong contest entry. Good luck. Sandra xxx

LOL - I thought of the same thing (sort of...) going with a Halloween Party turned into a wedding reception. . .but I just couldn't do it! (Let's face it. . .seeing skeletons become animated would scare the bejezuz out of most of us - LMAO)

Great job with this Halloween poem, Lorraine! The artwork is great and your poem pairs perfectly with it.

This is so very well written with vivid imagery created for your reader. Rhyming and flow are great. SoOO many clever lines in this, but I especially love your closing stanza heeding a warning to all. A most enjoyable Halloween poem! Good luck in the contest. ~~ Connie

Haha! I can see why the artwork captivated & inspired you, Lorraine! Great rollicking tale of haunting and death here ... I felt like I was sailing thru 'Pirates of the Caribbean' with the rollicking rhythm and clever rhymes. Marvellously done!

Sin-sational, Lorraine!
This stuck so close to the original 'Twas the Night Before Christmas' in the overall meter and flow. I'm sure that's what you were hoping for.
Although you're probably already aware, (sometimes it's nice to hear just the same) this is a fabulous fright fest for the contest.
I wish you nothing but the best of luck
~Dean
