This well-constructed 5-7-5 certainly fits the contest rules. Given the love that most pets bestow upon their keepers, it is sad that so many are abused by those who should love them in return. Thus, it is a blessing to rescue such an abused pet and give it a better home, especially with a child whose heart is as full of love as can be seen in the accompanying precious photo. Of course, the third joyous heart is yours, for bringing these two destined-to-be long-time friends together, knowing you did the right thing for all of you. Heartwarming.
