Wow! This is quite a sexy poem on this lavender moon, I love the way described is as a woman tempting the man with the forbidden fruit. Nicely done! :)) ~Kerry

Thank you. I can tell that you are a poet because you understood what I wrote. In this poem 2 people are there, man and a higher being. Man"s thoughts are ruled by desires. The woman (who is temptation) rules man. I praise the woman for she is stronger of the two.

A thought provoking poem. I do not know freestyle either. Somehow I just want to rhyme. I liked your poem very much and would suggest that you continue writing with your creative pen. HUGS

Thank you. I tried to interpret a feeling freestyle. It is a provoking poem praising all women for they rule.

PW,
This is a powerfully dark worded write that depicts well the allure of one who deceives and uses those around him or her, intentionally, and coldly. :0 GracieAnn

Thank you, Gracieann. It is dark worded but in its own way, it praises the woman, for they shall inherit the earth. 

I think that you had some really nice lines in here, but they were buried in a work without a clear theme... romanticism versus lust, versus women don't put out without guys paying a high price...Am I anywhere close to what you had in mind? I think part of the difficulty here is that the assignment to write an exphrastic poem is based on such an amorphous image. Specificity of detail is really the key to any kind of good wrtiting but this picture suggests ????? The best of these poems that I've seen (and I've seen many) has a wonderful stanza simply describing the painting. The rest was obscure, philosophical meandering without meaning to me, the reader. Is this helpful? Hope so. B.B. Rose

Thank you, B.B. It?s not a romantic poem nor a lustful poem. It does have metaphors suggesting man?s desires, but there are two individuals in this poem not counting Eve. The man is always on the make trying to seduce every woman in sight. (Even in the moon :) Yet, the second individual (muse?) opens his sight and tells the truth. We men think that we are superior but you women are our masters. One day you ladies will not need male companionship, only slaves. I hope it is not in my lifetime. 

There is a lot of truths here.
We all struggle with what we want and can't or shouldn't have.
The line between want and need sometimes grows thin and wavers.

Well said, well written.

A very well-written free verse poem about the lavender moon. I could not pick up any typos ir spags. Free verse is poetry free of specific guidelines. The use of rhyme, alliteration, imagery etc can be used randomly. Itnis usually about something, someone or feelings, humor, or tragedy.

Thank you Sandra. Like I said I don?t know how to write. I had written another poem kinda mushy. But it didn?t ring true. I waited a day or two thinking what it was telling me. Then this voice (muse) out of nowhere tells me and I wrote what I felt, but in two distinct voices. The unspoken voice is Eve or the one before her. She smiled for she knew I saw the truth. You women shall rule we will be the slaves. 

Consumed by the woman into a desire that has an hypnotic bite and an everlasting embrace, a sensual write filled with mystic undertones, best wishes, love Dolly x

Thank you Dolly! You understood what I said. Two voices, one man with desires, two a truthsayer telling man that women rule we are just slaves. You is a poet.  

This speaks the life is now under the spell of seed of darkness everywhere around and there are darkness and black clouds and subjugation is evident; poet fears her life; I liked.

Thank you Alcreator. Well, it?s "the poet fears for his life" for all man are ruled by desires and woman rule us. 
