Hello junglefighter
in just twenty syllables along with your authors note,
You, indeed told us of your Grandfather struggles to be born and how he accepted his final earthly moment.

This short poem has described life in such a very few short words, not an easy thing to do. Well done and good luck in the contest.

A tale of life itself scripted in artistically phrased words telling the story of the birth, the passing, and the footsteps in the sands of time that you have left.
Well done and good luck

Worthy of a six, it tis, it tis! The picture, along with your few words, created a lasting impression on this reader. It goes to show one that you don't need an abundance of words to get your meaning across the table. Thank you!!!! Looks like a winner to me!

An interesting poem , well structured and a good choice of words. I wish you well in the short poem contest. I struggled to find the true concept in your post. Did it mean the the child was born then immediately died.
Good luck. PM

This is a great entry for this type of contest. You tell a sad story here, but it's one that we're all going to have to face one day. Good luck in the contest...Bill

A moving story for sure. I liked the theme and the association between life & death. It represented a lot in a short time. Well done junglefighter.

    Hello, my dear friend!
Thank you for the review and kind words. Your taking time to read my work, "Is an honor!" Sweet, Jesus! From Oct. 12th. through the 22nd., you posted 13-presentations. Where do you find that kind of time? Please, tell me--and I'll add 4-hours
or so, "on to each of my days!" I scanned some of you're reviewers comments--"EXCEPTIONAL!" I look forward to reading
your work, "time permitting." Best wishes for--"Good Health and Happiness always."

Thank you junglefighter! I am retired from work and military. There are times when I will not post for a few days for various reasons. However, When I am on, I'm always looking for some good stuff which helps me as well. I make some mistakes on punctuation and maybe layout now and again.

Hey thanks junglefighter! I am retired from work and the military. There will be times when I am off for a few days for various reasons. When I am on though, I'm always looking for good stuff. This helps me as well with my posts. Sometimes I make mistakes in punctuation and layout of my entries. I've had a few of them called for errors in that field. I have had several works sitting for a couple years before I decided to do SOMETHING with them. I have a total of 28 poems and prose with a couple short stories waiting. Good health and happiness to you as well.

A very thoughtful short poem. I marvel at the talent and skill to tell a story or full thought in so few words.

Very nicely done my friend.

Blessings

    Hi, Janet!
It is so good to hear from you. Thanks for the review and kind words. Your taking time out to read my work, "Is an honor!" The 20-syllable post are tough. Of course, so was the bear that I shot and killed when I was 7-years old. I had to shoot the raskal
3-times--or was it four? Grandpa would know! Wishing you and family, "Good Health and Happiness always."

Jungle Fighter,

At first I thought your poem was about a baby that came into the world and died shortly thereafter. After reading your notes, it seemed as if this was about your grandfather's life going by too quickly. I think the first idea of a baby losing its life is more powerful. Perhaps the baby saying goodbye to the grandfather before they have chance to get to know each other. If it's about the grandfather, for me, there is too much missing. I want to know some of the footprints he left behind.

I feels something different when i read this one but i realized that life is impermanence, we must still be in the present moment. People here in this world are born with purpose and die with reasons. We must accept what will happen even though it's hard because it's already part of our life. This poem shows about the truth in this world which we might know when will it comes to us.
