Whilst such a short life, it was profound enough to birth this very special poem.
It almost leads the reader into false sense of security at being overjoyed with the birth of a newborn...only to find tragedy strikes and steals the dream of parenthood.

Confronting! But I am sure there are people who can relate to this. Well done

Cheers P

Shocking poem...one believed...well you know...All of our babies refuse to turn...I wonder why...It is appropriate that you choose to compare birth and death..
as the old one seems to return to childhood in cycle...

I love this, short and sweet with a great message. I interpreted it as being ok with the idea of death because they already live a good life great job!

A touching poem, and it became even more so, after reading your notes about "Grandpa." (That's really all I wanted to say, but the FS system insisted on more characters, so this should do it.)

Hi there, I like structure of the poem, and the statement that the person was born, left his mark and then died. A whole life explained in just a few words.

Good luck in the contest.

Sad, Poignant, says a lot in just a few lines. Interesting deep thoughts. LIfe is a circle, time keeps moving and the cycle repeats. All the best to you.

I like this. If I understand it, it speaks of the continuity of life. It make me wish my Grandpa and Dad could be here to see and know their grandchildren. Short, touching, emotional Love it!

Great use of your twenty syllables mate, a journey we all must make and hopefully can mimic, leaving our footprints in the sand and proudly leaving this world when it is our time to go. Good luck!!
