Congrats on pacing in the contest with this excellent entry. Thought the 'bird of youth image is slightly cliche, it is wonderfully refreshed by adding in the old crone shift. Beautiful artwork. Writing a meaningful mono-stitch is not easy. You succeeded exceptionally!

Bravo

Warmly, rd

Yeah, you can't Google everything! Sometimes you just have to ask mom. Thanks for reviewing.

A very well-written Monistich. The youth of today rushing through life faster than a bird can fly. Leaving the old folks behind to contemplate in their wisdom

Yup. The old folks could teach them a thing or two. But, they think they can just Google it...

This is a very well written one line poem. You used very good descriptive wording and very good imagery with the art work. Best wishes in the contest. Teri

This work has reached the exceptional level

Such an effective format to convey such a profound thought - it could well serve as a mission statement for our times - times so preoccupied with youth and failing to appreciate the 'wisdom of the old crone'- well done

Really hard reviewing one line poems and critique with enough minimum allowable words.I know where you are coming from with this one and with your accompanying beautiful picture your words are very true. Thanks for sharing

Yeah, wasn't sure if this was even worth posting. It was a challenge, but I gave it s shot. I know others will be coming up with more witty or profound thoughts. But I really liked the peaceful artwork. Thanks for reading, Dip

There are not too many of such moments, are there? Your pairing of picture and poem are perfect as the former illustrates fully what your words are saying. Rod

As they say, carpe diem. Seize those precious moments when you can. Thank you for taking the time to read and review.

I sense the elements coming together (earth, wind, fire) and if that could be in harmony with the sky and sea, there would be peace. Except these days, my brain is affected by the fires in California so it's hard for me to think of peace.

So sad about the fires. There is so much going on these days we all could use a little peace. Thank you for reviewing.
