Hello Gypsy;
-you definitely captured the essence and spirit of summer especially Indian summer which comes in autumn is definitely hot. Especially in Sacramento where I used to live in the I remember it being very hot at times in the fall.
-Good structural consistency in your haiku or your first two lines of very definitely and grammatically connected and show and imagery that is descriptive and expressive.
-The Kigo is definitely expressed in the terms of "Indian summer", Inc. is a seasonal reference to the haiku.
-The satori sets the stage and gives the poem that aha moment and also directly and indirectly manifest the excitement of the conceptual theme which is subtle and definitive.
-Thanks for sharing this, Gypsy, and take care and may you have peace and harmony.
Alex
PS: I received an interesting gift om my birthday last week and it was an accumulation of over two hundred die of words on each one side of the die. It is called-"HAIKUBES"
What you do is you roll the dice, as many as you can hold in your hand, and you throw them, and they create words in succession to Create a haiku of your liking.
They have it on Amazon and it cost about $17.48. I thought that might be interesting for you to know.

I enjoyed your vivid description of the sage plan and the season. Your use of alliteration accentuates your haiku (not that it matters, but I counted 4-7-5 syllables). Your picture selection and blue font are perfect accompaniments as well. Smiles- Joan

The information you give about the blue Sage is very interesting, MariVal. . We have the same one in Australia I think, at least it looks the same. Possibly introduced here from America in the early days . I thought the Satori was quite astute, Giddy

One reason I like this haiku is the masterful haiku. Sage is an important herb in many native american cultures. Used for spiritual rituals, medicinally, and as an herb. I love the line about the sage "basking" in the sun. Thank you for sharing your work.

I will only review haiku's, 5-7-5's, that you post.
Yours are the only ones that make any sense!
I hope you are well. Each day I hold you in my
prayers. Still hoping you will be moving closer to
San Diego.

Hello, Bill, Thank you very much for the excellent review and kind words. I am planning to move in with my daughter in Pasadena, maybe we could meet sometime but I know San Diego is not that close to Pasadena. Take care, my friend. Thank you for praying for me.

We will find a way to meet. Moving to Pasadena is the right thing to do. You are too isolated up in Sacramento. -Bill

An excellent example of how to write an affective haiku, that has that marvellous satori line, no wonder you allow people into your world of understanding and thinking of the poetic haikuist, well done, good work, Gypsy, blessings, Roy

Pretty haikus and blue flowers make for a pleasant presentation to make me smile. Then, I start realizing that Indian summer is only the calm before the blast of winter to come. Thanks for sharing. :-)
