I quite enjoy this one, author. What I found most incredible was that I could actually hear the Cello and Baritone Sax instrumental break. So that is either some mighty fine writing or I may have to go in for my millennial tune up tomorrow. :))

Excellent duet and best wishes to you in the contest.

Ahhh. A great combo, yes? Love those deep tones and both instruments have plenty of range too. It might not be a bad idea to go for the tune up though, my writing is said to be suspect. :))

So pleased you enjoyed and thanks for the good wishes. We'll see, lots of great entries. :))

A great duet. This is clearly a song, not a poem in disguise, and thus it's perfect for this contest.

Quick note: you used the wrong homonym of your in line four. As it reads, your lover's back is in your dreams.

Leaving that aside, the sentiment is wonderful. This is another love poem that speaks to me directly and deeply as it mirrors my life. As hard as it is to capture that emotion in words you've done an admirable job.

Hey, thanks for the heads up on "your", you are the only one to catch it. After a while I don't see things like that anymore. It would've been there forever. :))

Wow, what a great review. Win or lose, I'm delighted you enjoyed this. Thanks a million. :))

Very well-written song lyrics. The lovers are in love but they both doubt that the other one knows how they feel. When they assure each other of their love for each other.

That was really lovely. One at times doesn t know that its the one... And sadly let what could have been slip away from our world. But at times the inner soul just knows and makes it known. I enjoyed it. Well done!

This is a good entry for the Lyrics Make The Song contest. It makes sense and I can visualize both male and female singing this sad then happy song to each other - love finally theirs to enjoy. Good job and best of luck in the competition. ~DD

Great song lyrics, I really enjoyed them! I think this would make a great song. I especially like the idea of the musical break too, with cello and baritone sax, that's a really cool idea. Thanks for sharing and have a great day

This sounds like a great song. I would love to hear it. Who would you sing it with? I know there would be more than one volunteer. Hehehe. I think this is a winner. Good luck!! NG

You're too sweet. Hmm ... the one I'd want to sing it with wouldn't in a million years. But, yeah, there are volunteers. How about you? :))
