This is such a creative idea for the end of summer, beginning of autumn prompt.
Normally we consider the physical landscape scenario; but I really enjoyed this.
It's also, for someone of my generation, a bit of new-think realizing how much classroom activity is involved with technology.
In my time, if we got caught with an earpiece, we'd have been in soooo much trouble. Times have changed. Just reverie here, I know the techy thing now is all educational, not entertainment. :)
Your mention of gloomy, bronzed kids perfectly portrays the change of seasons.
