This is a great challenge - trying to tell a story in only 60 words or less. (But not for me!) Good job getting a basic story to fit in such a cramped space. Good luck in the contest.

Well, I guess the cigar aficionados won't like the idea of arresting mom for her smokes, but those who have to inhale the stench will. An interesting entry for the contest. Marilyn

Funny sorry! I enjoyed the humor. I found two things for your consideration.
"Yes sir, your mother was arrested." --Suggest a comma before sir as well.
took the cigar--Suggest using a different word for cigar. Maybe blunt or joint?

This sixty-word story, Delinquent Mom, has the appropriate word count and creates the hilarious scene of a crusty, old mom with a 'fatty' getting pinched by the Miami coppers. Nice.

This speaks shocking, great news that author is informed of his mom's arrest by Miami Dade Police on charge of smoking a cigar and she did not care warning by police; I liked.
