That's a beautiful way to describe this daily/nightly event. Never thought of it in quite that way but you summed it up beautifully in just a few words. Hope all is well with you and I am so glad to find you still here after my lengthy absence.

G'day mate, Yep, still here, nearly nine years! Thank you for reading and glad you enjoyed, never written a one-line poem (if you could call it a poem) before. After a big operation last month (hernia repair) I am starting to feel better, how are you going? Love, Kay.

thank you for sharing your entry in the one line poem contest. Within the line, you have introduced us to the father/daughter relationship you see between the sun and moon. Your piece is well presented with the chosen art,

Good luck in the contest,

~patty~

A very well-written one line poem. The sun abd the moon make turns to rule the skies. The sun in the day and the moon at night. They usually meet halfway when the one goes to sleep and the other starts to shine.

Nicely done Aussie. This is a great entry in the contest. Many blessings for a wonderful weekend coming up for you. The weather here is humid as we are in our rainy season of the year and it is hoot as well so makes it a bit uncomfortable. Patricia

Hi Patricia, Thanks so much for your kind review. We are in winter here, we don't experience cold like America because we are in the sub-tropics. Blessings, Kay.

Beautiful sunset as the sun goes down over the area. The moon coming to say goodnight across the water as it is his turn to rise up and take his turn to watch.

What a beautiful sentiment, Kate. I never thought of it in that way under any circumstance so I thank you for the glimmer of light you have provided me.

Superb pairing of photo and poem. We can easily visualize that "kiss" as daughter moon retires to her bed. Your one-liner has mythical overtones in your allusions to "father" and "daughter." Nicely done.
