Wonderful Lune. Your muse wasn't hibernating! She went to Jirvania, the magical world where our Muses go to harvest the "story" and "poem" pearls where our ideas grow. Then they bring them back to us and voila! A new poem is born! LOL
(I just completed a book called 'Julu' that explores this concept. ;-)

Your writing is delightful!
All the best,
Jan

Chrissy710, I'm a bit late on my picture challenge poem reviewing and posting and noticed you haven't written one so thought I'd pop in to have a browse. I must say the picture you have used on this Lune piece is fantastic as is the 5-3-5. Few words but one many writers can relate to. Adding a touch of alliteration for the middle line works really well. An excellent read! ~DD

Muse in hibernation, eh? I think we all go through that from time to time. Therefore we drop out and everyone (hopefully) misses us--soon to be over it. Your lune is excellent. Image is gorgeous. Much luck in the contest. Marilyn

Very descriptive in few words giving the reader a sense of winter blues and the all consuming hiding away from it, I wish you luck with the contest, love Dolly x

This lune, Muse in Hibernation, connects the cold-effected Muse with the lack of output, somewhere, in your poetry world.
Do they spell hibernating with a Y in Australia? Happy day.

This is how I'm feeling -- well, I feel sick that is why I'm not writing as much as I could. Hard to write when you are constantly exposed to nasty second-hand smoke in a non-smoking apartment building. Hope you find your muse!

Hi Rasmine, Oh I am pleased some else feels the same I don't do Winter well I love the hot weather and live in a cold climate Muse wil appear soon . We have a smoke free hospital so No problems with the smoke not like when I trained in nursing we all smoked ( gave up 30 years ago , husband still smokes but he goes outside never indoors ) Cheers for your support. sending a hug

thank you for sharing your lune for the contest. Your presentation and well formed words do a good job of portraying the feelings we have when our muse takes a rest.

Great presentation and structure of the 5-3-5 format.

Good luck in the contest,
~patty~

Funny! I used this picture for one of my poems a long time ago... I don't even remember what the poem was about.
Our muses hibernate from time to time, even in the summer. I guess it happens to us all.
Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest.

I guess it happens to us all - the weather turns, or we're under the weather, or for any number of other reasons... sometimes that Muse is simply nowhere to be found!

I enjoyed this lune - good luck with the contest,
pf

Very creative way of speaking about creative stagnation. The idea of your muse taking a long rest in some ethereal palace while you struggle with your " winter woes" anxious about coming up with any kind of poetry is a very strong sentiment which I can absolutely relate too. Well done with this piece.
